If I would have assembled the 1361 that I built "out of the box"...it would have had "less than the advertised compression"...
THAT is why I suggested useing the 1270 pistons...
You can then set the compression to what YOU want it to be
It's easier to lower comp. if needed then to raise it if wanted...

The pistons ARE the same accept for the domes being milled (as stated by krexken)...

If you want to run "a lot of NO2"...you do need to run pistons that are thick enough to take the heat...

I've been told that Muzzys DOES have NO2 pistons for the ZX12 (call them...don't take my word for that)...

KCADBY: you stated that I should get the 1270 pistons with the 1361 kit instead of the 1361 pistons. I want to run a compression that I can street around on and run high octane pump gas. If I do the 1270 pistons it will be more succeptable to NOS as I have read here. However it will be like 14.1 to 1 compression and I will have to put race fuel in it all of the time. Let me know if I am incorrect on anything here as I am not really knowledgeable, just trying to learn as I read what you guys have to say.
Thanks to all for helping me. I would have no idea if it were not for you guys!!!!

Less compression is better for LOTS of NO2...But I still think your better off with the "thicker piston domes" for NO2...

You NEED to check the ACTUAL compression (deck CCs, chamber CCs, with the parts that you get...when you "Pre-assemble" the motor...
There is a GOOD chance that it will NOT be 14:1 if you just..."slam it together"...

I can't say what this 1361 "would have been" (compression) if I would have just slamed it together (boss says I can't give info out from shop work)...but...I was SHOCKED when I CC-ed everything!!!
