going to maplegrove tonight
new tune and new tire and taller gearing to just use all of 4th gear. going 18/50 again. the power race hooks up well on the street. tonight will tell if it works as good as a shinko.
i hooked up my dobeck and will be adding fuel on topend with only that and a screwdriver.
plus my front right forl leaks some. that sucks.

well the bike et wise slowed down with the taller gearing . the new power race i got durring the winter at first made me think it may not do the trick, but i lowered it down to 17 psi and got a 1.55 60ft out of it. that run gave me a 9.57 @145mph. that is all it had set up that way afr going through about 12.9 to 13.0.
first runs with no extra fuel was 14.0 to 14.1 going through the end. then 3 clicks of fuel and it was 13.4 or so. then 2 more clicks went to the high 12s or 13 flat.
the dobeck works well. you have to have a flat curve but it does the job guickly and if one can see the afr readout you will see a change.hard to imagin it ran 9.269 at mir with the same 1.55 60ft in cold air and the 75 or so deg air at maple with the taller gearing it only has a high 9.50. last time there with the 5 speed gearing it had more in it. slip wise 9.40s only got a 9.54 last time 2 weeks ago.
everyone there with bikes anyway think they are off 2 tenths or so and blameing it on the new track they made durring the winter. we are running 60ft numbers that my friends 01 gsxr1000 ran high 9.3s at maple. not that number gives a 9.50 flat. intresting to say anyway.
it was dead and we got a lot of passes in someware like 12 i think. i ran genes sporty and only got down to a 12.7 at 106 mph. he got a 12.39 i think. forward pegs going over 100 i think sucks. hell it blew my left foot off in the shutdown going for 5th. it was fun though and gene had a blast whine we all were hot in 87 degF in full leathers while he has just a jacket. maybe he was the smart one taking the slower bike.
