Cause of red hot exhaust header?
Having a problem with exhaust headers turing bright red at idle.
Ideas on the cause?

I was told that was normal. I believe Doug said they use to turn off the lights to watch them glow.

I have never heard of this outside of perhaps with a Ti exhaust. Would an exhaust gas temp gun read any different temperatures?

You could richen up the mixture with the power commander with a map number change..
