Who's going? I am , seeing how it's the last time the track will be open this year.

I think I'll be there. Hope it's not too slippery from the cold and all the street cars.
I'm thinking of turning the wick down on the ZRX. Drop the compression, put the filters on, pull off the lockup & air shifter, put the handlebars, stock seat, and street tire back on. I don't think I'm ever gonna go much faster than 8.77, so why frustrate myself. To go to the next level would require a bunch more money, and only get me another tenth or so. I miss riding it on the street. Am I getting old?

Dear god it was cold out....I think itll take a few days for me to thaw out :/
New best time on motor 10.40@138 (fat moves faster in cold weather I guess)
I didnt ever get a good pass on spray...but kevin hopped on and popped off a 9.77@150 and I was impressed with that being his one and only run on the bike.
Only 4 bikes were really in attendance tonight...all kawis too 3 ZX12s and deanos ZRX. so.....much.....green.......
Had a great time....just wish it were about 20 degrees warmer :/
I think im going to bring a 55 gallon drum to start a fire in next time.

It was COLD especially late in the evening.I had a good time and ran my fastest pass ever 10.43@138 with a 1.81 60 foot.Brian and I ran each other every pass. I was having a good night on the tree.It's disheartening to be ahead of a MF and then her pushes the FuckYouHarryYouAin'tGonnaBeatMeMFBotton!(nitrous)Brian blistered me ass the last pass as I tried to launch too hard and wheelied and couldn't get WFO quick enough. He ran a 10.4 to my 10.7
There were over 250 cars.

10's ?!? Ya'll must be TRUE TFA members.... What are the local Busas running?? I'd be sick if I couldn't get in the 9's, especially with NOS. Matter of fact, I'm looking to get in the 8's pretty easily with a shot of that "FuckYouHarryYouAin'tGonnaBeatMeButton"!!

I dunno what the deal was last night....my times on motor were better than my times on spray (ET wise anyway...the mph was always higher)...I took the bottle out towards the end of the night I was running so poorly with it.
There werent any busas there....but most of the street ones ive seen are also in the low 10s@13x mph (although ryans is pretty insane).
dont really know what to say about the spray that night....somethin wasnt right for me.
and yes...kevins run was on the kit.

I weigh over 300 with my leathers on and do the best I can.Fun is why I like it. I'm definitely not the fastest but I think I do ok.

Kawachan,
It took me several passes before I got in the nines and I was never "sick" of running tens. I know Harry and Brian and just 'cause they are large boys don't mean they aren't out there having a blast. It would be so easy for them to just sit back and watch somebody else ride their bikes and brag how fast their scooters are....but no, they are both out there enjoying themselves. Sure both of them could run quicker if they weighed less, and they know that, without someone making smart ass remarks.
I've followed Harry through Deals Gap as fast as I've ever been and I've watched Brian make top-end passes at Maxton and think highly of them both for participating and not just spectating.

I dont really see 8s possible with a stock wheelbase and a BT010 tire regardless of my weight
I do most of my racing on the street...where et doesnt really mean diddly...but I enjoy hanging out with john/kevin/dean/steve/hairy/etc and the atmosphere at the track.

Dan, that is why I said "I"!! Also why I was asking what size they were. I didn't realizehow big........300!!! All I ever saw was posts where YCIS was spraying and beating 1000's, Busas, and other 12's. First time I ever saw a time posted for 'em...... I saw MM 300lb buddy Chad break the 9's for the first time on his Busa, anid it was bored, lock-up clutch, long arm etc... No "smart ass" comment intended.

Id guess im near 270 ish lbs fully suited.
I dont make excuses about the weight...as I know the bike will do 9s easy even with my current size.
Its my lack of launching ability that kills me...Ive yet to get a 60' below 1.85 (and even getting in the 1.8s is rare).....which is why I race more on the street.
My launching technique tends to be less of an issue on the interstate

Sometimes I type before I think. I do understand what you are saying with no smart ass comment intended. Since we go to the strips quite a bit, I see a bunch of guys who won't race because of their size and I hate it for them. I'm just glad Harry and Brian are out their flogging it with the best of them instead of having other jockies ride their bikes.

MIR and Rockingham just started a new class for 240+ riders, and some of those guys are rolling out!!! check out the times on dragbike.com here http://www.dragbike.com/raceday/rock/2002_4/2002_4_fatman.htm although they changed the name from Fat Man Class to "Heavy Weight Hitters" - 8 race series between ROCK & MIR. MIR and Rock websites should have rules up soon! This class is a crowd pleaser because everyone likes to see the heavier build guys get out there and run, some of them are dayum FAST! Oh BTW the fastest heavy rider at rock was on a Lee's built bike.
