Best ET's, 12R at Stock Wheelbase?

I was wondering what the best ET's at stock wheelbase are, on a 12R? I'm considering running mine at stock wheelbase this season for the fun and challenge (and cost savings)...

I know that Shiphteey has run some low 9.4's...any better #'s out there??

Shane

Chad's been 9.30 on my 12 with stock wheelbase & footshifting a few years back. That was at Bristol which is about 1700' elevation.
His 1/8th was a 6.07

Chad weigh's 125-130 + gear. Rick's times are really impressive considering his weight.

Both of the boy's have been low 5.90's on their 14's on stock arms but no 1/4 mile passes yet.

Yeah Shane, best was 9.4s @ 152 but I'm pretty inconcsistent at the strip. W/some practice and normal front weight I feel 9.3s is possible. Looks like Chad's already done it.

after that ET is when I put an arm on it to 61inches.....Im sure if I put a 17-47 or 46 i could have squeezed out a 9.45-43...

Shane,
I hope you leave it stock length, at least run it first and get a baseline. I'm curious as I want some idea of what mine is going to do.

shane with that ace motor even lifting you should be mid 9s i would bet. go 16/44 that to me anyway is the best setup for keeping the stock arm on and not buying a chain. do your lead thing on the front axil.

Kind of hard to say...I haven't ridden a stock wheelbase bike in well over two years. With the stock motor, I never went better than 10.16, and mid 1.7 60 foots. I was 250 lbs + suited at the time.

The motor is very strong, but it still has a powerband like a 12R. Meaning, it isn't really beefy in the lower rpm...nor was it tuned to be. I think it will be very challenging to ride at stock wheelbase.

At 250-260 lbs suited I figure that cost me a few tenths...not to mention that I was pretty new to drag racing! I guess we'll see if I can use the clutch and throttle hands with some finesse, after getting so used to the 14...

you will have to make it dance not throw and go. u are meticulus. u will get it.
i am glad i went to the test and tune the end of last year. it was great feeling like i knew what i was doing and haveing the slips to show it. also nice when you see the crowed come over to the fence when you are doing your tire fry to watch the run.
if you can pin the throttle in first and have the front power lift you will have a tough time getting a real good pass. i imagin your bike does power lift on its own. mine did strapped .
