The results of installing the new gas tank was worth the effort !! It went a 8.80 @ 149 with a 1.30 sixty right off the trailer !! Followed by a 1.29 sixty and another 8.80 but only at 140 cuz I missed sixth gear...would have been a 8.75
Then we went to 1/8 mile testing and it was running 5.55 @ 123...I had to slow it down by short shifting to run Super Comp. so needless to say I was pretty happy with the results. I didn't get a chance to weigh it but I'm sure I took another 30 lbs off it

My buddy on the other blue ZX12 pictured earlier went 8.03 at 167 !! A little more tweeking and it'll be in the sevens.

ZXboy...where are you located? Reason I ask is that sticker was designed here at Barksdale AFB just after 9/11. I am currently stationed here (Have been since 2000).

Curious what activates the rear brake? Maybe I'm just missing the pedal.

Thanks everybody !! I'm glad you all appreciate the work I've done.

Quarter Pounder...I'm here in south Florida. I use to work for Pratt and Whitney and one of the jobs I worked on was trying to improve the inlet vanes for the Buff engines...I got the stickers from one of guys son who was stationed out there,

Chad, good to meet you too...I didn't do so hot myself. I've never been to a track where the other racers screw around so much. They would tell you a dial-in and it was magically changed when I got to the line and they would be fully stage before I finish with my burnout, throwing me out of my routine. Not to mention I couldn't hardly get a clean pass in the right lane. I don't think I'll be heading up there anytime soon again. I'll never complain about my home track ever again

Aliveagain....what Scott said

I went to the track this weekend and got it on the scales.......420lbs ready to race !! so it looks like I lost 30lbs with the gas tank.

Thats the general weight of most dragbikes(385 to 400) is pretty good. And DAMN good for a ZX12. Excellent job.

Nox

That's funny you said that...... those are pretty much the exact words I spoke to my buddy as he put his ZX11 razor chassis on the scales right after me and it weighed 375lbs....

Woppi..................

I've got some new pics for you !! I mostly have my N2O system up and running....

I replaced the stock airbox covers with flat plate and placed the injectors to shoot down the Velocity stacks....running four #16 jets for now
Did a little testing Friday night.......the goal here is to try and run 1/8 mile super comp (5.60) turned it on 3 seconds out and it ran a 5.616 @ 126.90...not bad for the first try
Next pass we sprayed it right out of the hole for a full 1/8 mile pass. 5.33 @ 129.95 with a 1.27 60' it was spinning pretty good at the top of third so we called it a day after that, the track was getting loose and it was running a little lean. I need to get the PC hub hooked up (need some new firmware) and it's of to the races

Later, Roy
