mottys afr tuner
i am real close to getting one and not tuneing the ecu again axcept for rev limit and timeing.
here is a install post on a FJR
http://www.fjrforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113507
here is the web page of the product.

i have been playing around with this idea since ridgeracer first started messing with ecus.
for lsr i think it would be great. it will be in the upper rpms long enough to map its self better than a drag race plus you tell it what you want and it will always shoot for that no matter what changes GOD does or you change. built in data logger also. i may get one this summer.

Yeah, I thought about it. But on the 14 you can just use the Power Commander 5 with Autotune.
I think a good project would be re-wiring a PC-5 for use on the 12R.

they all do the same basic thing. ridge said some brands on the self map mode start out scary lean then go twards ritch. i just like the fact i want 12.8 and can put it everyware or not and it tunes for that not you haveing to download and have a system or you upload number changes. just drive it and tell it you want to save the new map. it then starts off that next time you ride it. will compair blocks as it passes through them tps vs rpm wise and change if needed or keep it.
then weather changes are going to work out by its self in a couple of runs.
the pc5 i bet will be eaiser to install on a bike you can get it for. the motty's afr you have to wire your self. i my self am not skared but some will buy a plug in way before this wire your self setup.
shane i sent you a pm. did you get it? do not know how they work on recieving them.

I believe the PC-5 with autotune has those features as well, but no data logger. If somone rewires a PC-5 that will probably be no harder than doing the Motty??
No pm yet?

on the motty you are grafting it into your wire harness.
you run the injector wires in to it then out to the injectors so it has controle of them. plus the speed signel and gear wires so it knows the gear you are in. some time when you are snowed in again or feel like reading look at the install write up and motts instructions.
i dis like the power commander cause i know more with problems than not. i know there are lots with no issues but over 50% of the ones i know got fucked atleast once.
you read that fjr post and there is a guy pushing the dobeck like i had also. i like it for simple but i had to take away fuel on my ecu down low and the dobeck only adds fuel.

I was under the impression that the power commander had gear-based fuel trim and individual cylinder mapping?
I've read about the Motty, but to be honest I am a total dumbass about wiring and electronics. That is why I still haven't installed the two DL-32 systems that I have sitting here.
There is a plug and play setup for the 14, using the Motty. It is around $850.

wow that is nice. i think with the euro a do it your self is around 650 bucks. saveing that work and cutting your wire harness may be worth the extra 200 bucks.

I do like the built-in logging features of the Motty. The tech for flashing 14 ecu's is coming around, but that just seems like a real pain to me.
I'm going to consider it. I am likely switching to some sort of auto-mapping setup for 2010. I just like the size of the Dynojet company, when it comes to support. Plus, there is a lot more user-community support as well.
