Karl, what is the most wheelbase you ran in the mile?
What percentage wheelspin were you seeing on top?
I'm thinking of a wheelbase increase, but want to get an idea of the max I might get away with in the mile.
Thanks.

Can't get the most in both worlds. A bike built to do both, will suffer at both.........

I agree. Life is full of compromises.
Last year's compromise was 8.9x seconds and over 200 mph. What will this year bring?

ding-ding-ding, we have a winner!!!!
I had the same top end "wheel spin" with both 6" and 10" arms.
Went from 10 to 6 to help get thru 1st/2nd with less wheelspin and it worked.
(Both Osti & I tried stock arms at one Texas Mile and we both had wheelie probs, 1st & 2nd)
I don't know that the 3.5% is wheel spin.
I do know that at event after event my calculated (measured tire circumference X gearing x rpm) speed is always 3.5%-ish higher than my trap speed.
