moved..
to NC!!! and i'm actually not too far from maxton.
i now reside in wilmington NC. looking at a map, wilmington is at 4:30ish o'clock from maxton south east.. right on the beach. maybe 2 hours?
hopefully i can network and get my shop going within a year. i have been here 3 weeks and am still trying to line work up  looks like i'll be a mechanic for a bobcat dealer.. but am still hoping one of these electrical engineering jobs works out.
that will fund me getting a dyno 
when maxton rolls around, you guys are more than welcome to come here and get drunk. if i have a shop by then, then that'll be the party spot after the races.. i'll probably be sorta hit and miss. phones off right now and i literally have no money.. like.. nothing. spent my last $2 today.. lol.. but i have a good feeling tho. i think things will work out well once i get something lined up and get established.
once i get all my shit moved here i will probably be around a bit more.. not that ya's missed me anyway. lol
hopefully within 3 years, i will have a badass full-service shop with dyno, milling equipment and.. i dunno what else yet. lots of cool shit.

Sweet! We were just there last weekend picking up my new (to me) toy!! Had we known we would have met up & fed ya! What part of town are you in? Todd used to have a shop there right off the beatin path (not far from the Harley dealer) until I lured him up to VA!
You staying with someone or did ya pitch a tent on the beach?

i'm going to push VERY hard on getting a shop going and hopefully establishing myself here as a good builder and tuner eventually.
i am in a house.. lol.. no tent on the beach.. my roomate is also one of my best friends i've known for over half my life, so, he's takin good care of me until i line work up and start making mnoey.. lol
as far as where i'm at, i'm actually not too far from the harley dealer! i live just off of market street in ogden. i pass it every day when i am going somewhere.
as far as the bike, all i need to really do is get my welder down here and get some money going. the local auto speed shop sells mandrel bends and i can outsource those from other local shops as well.. i am going to eventually get a mandrel bender when everything takes off, and al looking to have a CNC and various milling equipment. just a matter of time, room and money.
the bike runs, but i need a chain right now.. and sprockets.. but the chain is BAD right now.. and these roads absolutely SUCK here. they're horrible not only in condition but the lack of twisties.. lol the shitty roads beat up the bike so badly that the lower rad support is broken and alot of things need fixed anyway..it's "ridable" and safe in it's current state, but i'm really hoping to just get everything fixed before the nice weather hits.. the turbo may go on within a few months provided i land work. the actual turbo motor i'm building should hopefully be done and ready for next spring. MAYBE earlier again, depending on finances.
i just kinda came her eat a bad time, but i think it'll all work out.. at least i hope so! i'm kinda tired of getting kicked when i'm down.

Jim I have been so worried about you. I couldnt reach you by phone. I am so happy to know that you are still kickin! Just keep your chin up and keep putting one foot in front of the other and good things will happen start to happen for you. And remember this........we manifest that which is before us. yeah, brenda sue, i'm ok.. today was a fucked up. went to work on the bike, bitch fell over breaking even MORE shit. if i woulda had a gun i would have shot the bike right then and there. the brand new screen i put on is shattered. the mirror glass shattered. the clip on is bent. shifter broken. fairing mounts bent and broken. AWESOME. absolutely awesome.
between that and jobs that keep postponing my hiring because the boss can't seem to make it into work on time and NO one is hiring anywhere for anything, i'm just getting pissed.. but i am still alive somehow.
i'm trying tho.. God damn it i'm trying.. but i'm wearing thin at this point now. just too much shit going on and not clicking. i've been thru alot of shit over the last few years.. between losing my job and becoming homeless, going to jail for stupid shit like driving infractions.. bounced back and now i'm right back in the gutter again. lol

the thing that scares me is that i am good at what i can do, and am eager to work, and i know people just as educated as i that have been looking for MONTHS and still haven't gotten a job.. alot of people are out of work and i haven't even gotten a chance to prove i know my shit yet.
i'm still trying to network a bir and meet people and hope maybe i can get some side work to bide my time, but therein lies a problem as well. i have no tools here. takes money to make money no matter what you do.

man.. it's incredibly hard to turn down free tools. especially when it consists of duct tape and/or silicon.

If I had a job I would give it to you because I dont ever want to have one. lol Makes it hard to afford to race but if I had a job i would be at work and still not able to race. Now if I could have a job and make enough money to race all the time and get the time off to do all this racing you can call me employed. Not very likely to happen!

might have a job!! lol.. worked in a german car speed shop today wrenching on a porsche.. they told me to come back in tomorrow at 8:30am.. thats a good thing.
had an electrical contractor calling my references as well, so.. who knows.. maybe i can get a full AND part time job and just work my ass off..
