mojave mar 6: start racing at 8am!

Unlimited mph class:
for 2010 they will allow W (no parentheses) tires; Supercorsa Dragon now is OK

also, 350 degree zip leathers are now OK.

good on the organizers for listening to potential riders.

i just wish that i would be able to wear my leathers that have stretch panels on the insides of the arms and in the groins. If i ever do a land speed event I'm going to have to buy a new set of leathers which aren't any more safe than the ones that i've already got lol.

No you don't, trust me. Racheal is still not fully healed from where her stretch panels burned through after her crash at Loring. The scarring will always be a reminder that stretch panels will burn through...even inside the arms.

Ouch, I did not know that Shane (stretch panel went), hope she is doing better.

Very good on the rule change, I'll have to check the rest of the rules to make sure I am ok to run.

Karl is the expert on the (W) tire thing. In short the rules used to say if your tire did not have a (w) on it, then you could not run over 200mph.

The closing on my new lil house is estimated Mar 1-15; that may interfere with my Mojave Plan.

The builder accelerated my pre-sheetrock walk-through inspection by a week ( to tomorrow) so hopefully the closing will move into Feb. ;fingerscrossed

Excellent, but however it goes Karl, no worries. I am sure they will have more events.

Doug, currious if you do not mind me asking how much boost will you be running? Sure would be nice to see a Y2K turbo 12 running strong out there!!!!!

The engine should "safely" run up to about 24 pounds, but I have a progressive controller so I can run a different max boost in each gear. The engine is essentially a copy of Gadson's shootout bike that we ran up to 30 pounds but that was 1/4 mile stuff.
I've never ridden the bike on pavement so it will be a "test" session. Bike went 220 on 11 pounds on The Salt.

hey Doug, can I take that as a very positive indication that you'll riding yr turbo at Mojave?

Yesterday at the pre-drywall inspection walk through, I told our Builder I was going to be out of town, not available for closing Mar 3-8.
My wife gave me "that look"...

Room in the trunk Karl? I am very small and wont talk much! will bring your good friends J&B............I dont care if I take my bike I just wanna go! I will beg if that will work because holding my breath just made me turn blue and pass out. Turning green with envy isnt that bad when it is Kawasaki green. And throwing myself on the floor kicking and screaming hurts my elbows. LOL

Scott Horner headsuplv@aol.com

"The new rules are posted on mojavemile.com I think most, if not all the concerns of the rules by SCTA/ECTA members have been addressed. Basically, SCTA/ECTA legal bikes and gear are good to run at this event. I am looking forward to a great time, there are a bunch of us going out to have fun/test early in the year.. Entry is $199 or $210 if paid with a credit card.

I have run 200+ on the runway in May of last year and it is a nice venue. There are great people behind the Mile effort, give them a call with any questions. Bike guys can contact me if you have questions. Only 70 grid spots left! "
