I saw him a lot in the Garage at Daytona, Specially when Honda went to the 16 inch front wheel around 1979 or 1980 with those silver and Blue 900's that Baldwin and others were riding and up to 1982! I think he hated the V-4 engines! But I never saw him at any of the other races!

I got Pops Yoshimura Upset once at Daytona when I was talking to Wester Cooley about his ride on the Yoshimura Kawasaki Z-1 at Riverside! The Bike was wollowing / Shaking so hard one lap, Cooley had both of his feet knocked off of the peggs! Pops was sawing a Handle bar shorter and heard the word "Wobble" (They were now using the Suzukies with all of the Kawasaki Cam control gear)

Pops stopped what he was doing and said "Wobble!!!" What Wobble??? Cooley said no Pops, not this bike! Then he looked at me and I said "LAST YEAR" AT RIVERSIDE" He then looked at Cooley again and Cooley said everything is "OK" Pops! He then looked back at me and I said he is right! before Pops went back to sawing the Handle Bar again! I brought this up because Pops was very Old (or at least looked old! This was 1975 or 1976) and spoke very little english to anyone! He never seemed like he knew or was paying attention to what was going on around him! But I soon realized just how sharp Pops was and "NEVER" said anything about his bikes again! Last Time I ever saw his also!

I tried to be easy to find! Wearing the SA Team shirt and the Only Black person doing so! Funny, someone asked me if I was from South Africa! Then I realized that the "ONLY" Black person in their camp was the Only Person that had never been to Africa!!

Hey Vincent I can't believe I missed you but I was there, I put the pc3r in the green bike before coming down and it was set up good on the dyno. But after a couple runs the bike seemed like the battery was dead and was hard to start. Anyway left it in with the program I made and turned 272 hp with the plugs perfect (on the stock fuel pump by the way which Doug says can't be done) Got to Florida and started having shorting problems found the short in the trigger for the nitrous fixed it and thought all eas ready to go Cowboy got there and we went riding till 4 am no problems as far as we could tell, other than the starting thing. Went to Orlando speedway and on the first pass disaster Cowboy coasted a 9.45 @ 138 mph when it let go top of forth gear. Never had this problem before the pc and will not again pc can go jump in the lake after four warrantied commanders I'm done maybe the yosh is worth a look.
Harry I bought two cases of beer and came over to Johns trailer with it in an ice packed cooler and had to go at 8 pm made plans, I heard you guys went to eat or something so that is what happened I guess. Oh yeah the blue bike rounded out second gear dougs and was popping out of gear WTF luck can I have on the same weekend oh well that bike has 40,000 miles on her I guess that's too bad considering it makes 240 hp with no pc and pump gas and still has original plugs better change those puppies soon i guess.

Please do not hurt me! "WOW" Wayne! I understand the 2nd Gear Dogs, but everything else was just too much! As I just started writing this note, I realized what you said about the hard starting and the PC! You know that it is now "FACT"!! That that "STARTING PROBLEM" IS PC Related! It seems that the wires are not thick enough (I do not know if it is the insulation of the wire itself!) But someone stated that they were gioven a PC to test and it had very thick wires! The bike stopped having "Starting" Problems also!

They think it is "Signal interference" causing this problem and larger wires (He said about 50% Larger) removed the problem and that they are "Working on it"! I plan to send them my PC Later for a large wire one! I even remember the first time that happened! I was going to Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland to work on my old ZX11 and filled up at a Gas Station when the Bike did not turn over very well and then started right up! I thought I had a bad starter! YOU ARE RIGHT! YOU DID & DO HAVE PC TROUBLE! BEFORE I WOULD GIVE UP, YOU SHOULD SEE IF YOU CAN GET A LARGE WIRE UNIT! THAT IS WHAT I AM ASKING FOR!!
