CP Pistons has chosen to treat all of their wrist pins with WPC. The treated motors that I've seen all looked really good after teardown, particularly the pistons, cylinders, bearings, tappets and crankshafts. I haven't had a chance to see transmissions, and I couldn't tell a difference with rings or valve springs, although those three parts are supposed to derive great benefits from being treated. Karl has been using WPC for some time, and I was supposed to start testing it a couple seasons ago, but ran out of time.

Yup, I routinely have been having buckets, shell bearings, pistons, pins treated/coated. Just got a set of Busa buckets back, & just sent some main shells.
Izumi at WPC keeps telling me to send the cyl block, cams, rings, haven't done that yet.
Does it help? I dunno; i sense the bearings, buckets, piston skirts, and pins are looking better upon teardown, and my motor is making pretty good power.
WRECKSHOP, I'll be at Andy's 10-12 today torturing my Miami motor. Stop by if you have time.
Karl
