More 8s!
Had some really beautiful weather yesterday although the barometer was only 29.6. I'm finally getting used to getting wide open in low gear and my times are improving. Best motor pass was 9.03 at 154, 1.51 60', 5.877 at 125 1/8. Only made one juice pass since I rode the bike to the track. Ran an 8.81 at 162, 1.53 60', 5.81 at 131 in the 1/8. By far my best juice pass, hitting the button in second gear. Big grin on my face all the way home!

WTG Ken - a 9.03 on motor is awesome - a first pass 8.81 is phenomenal. You will be in the 60s before long I bet.
I met the Highlands riders Jeff Peck and Gilbert Coronado at Prostar - good guys. I ran against Gilbert on his Turbo ZRX at the Thursday TNT and ran my fastest-ever pass; 8.77 @ 163, to his spinning 8.98 @ 165. He ran his best pass the next day - 8.58 - so I got lucky. I went out in the second round, lifting at halftrack to a 9.03 But Prostar was a blast, good to see everybody. I may have a few pictures to post at some point...

Thanks, Dean. Don't know about any 60s but hopefully some 70s. Don't want to squeeze it too hard. What classes were you running in? Good to see Coronado getting some good runs on the ZRX. He seemed real upbeat about next season. I got seriously spanked by Peck last time at the S/O. He was nearly a second quicker than me! Love to see some pics. A 77 is cookin!

The Schnitz kit I bought the middle jet is 34 that is what I have in there now. I'm thinking about ordering a 40. I actually bought a #40 but the auto shop I bought it from gave me a flare jet instead of a funnel jet. Just was well now I can do a comparison if I ever get a #40. Maybe I'll pick one up in Rockingham and try it during qualifying?

Got back in the 8s today. This time without the bottle. Was only an 8.99 at 156 but I was still very pleased. 1.51 60, 5.87 at 126 1/8. Can't count the number of blown shifts today. Think maybe I need an airshifter.

GO FOR IT KEN!!!!!
BTW, did you have a bit of headwind? If I remember correctly, 5.87's translated into "easy" 8.9's for you previously????
consider the electric shifter also; works great!

I thought the 9.03 was a sign of things to come... Very cool to get an 8 on motor - footshifting no less. I only know of one other 12 to do it - Rickey on a 1361. Kevin's been REAL close, and of course entropy, but I think for now you're the only mortal. Nice job. 156 is awesome mph.

Ken,
take the red beast back to the track today; weather is going to be perfect. 50's, 40% humidity and a south wind. I am 110% confident you can get 8.8's on motor.
Too damn bad my bike is still in intensive care.
The way Ken and Dean are getting reliable performance outa juice is ringing my bell. I really hadn't planned on it but this bike thing is an addiction and a bottle will prolly be in my future. I wish I wasn't 100% ignorant about nitrous I envy you guys!
Oh yeah, what I really envy is your skills. Every 1/10 I take off my ET's is like pulling teeth. I learn sooooooooo slowly.

I've only made about 5 or 6 juice passes so far. I'm kinda saving it for when I need it. Wish I'da used it yesterday since the air was really good. Had a decent crosswind but nothing to worry about. I think I've been spoiled by those weather conditions at HRP, Karl. My bike has never been 158 anywhere but at HRP at RRR in Sheveport. The wind tends to blow downtrack there also. It's usually a headwind or crosswind at my home track. If I were a TFA official member, I seriously doubt I would've run any 8's on motor. I'm 100% positive you'll be there with the new motor, Karl.
