what is the life of a typical O2 sensor?
i took the wego3 off my bike mid year and tried to use it on my pulling truck and had a hard time to get it to see anything stuck in the open header. it made sence with air revirsion.
made one of those sniffer pipes and sort of got it working. then i put on my brothers bike with sniffer pipe and went to the track. it worked wide open but my FA would flash on the display. last two runs it stopped logging afr. i put it on my bike and same thing not good.
well step in to today i went out with a new bosch wideband soldered to the harness (which was a bitch to get the solder to stick) i logged this ride and it is real rich now. i guess i have to look at the filters but it was 12.5 to 12.7 to 10,000 then dives to 12.2 to 12.4 to 12,000 rpms. looks like i have some horsepower to go get this week.

so what i am seeing is expected and normal? now i have to lean out my bike again.
i knew something would be different when i had to turn the free air calibrate screw a lot to get the FA to show up.

if you remember and it is a good reason let me know. the only thing i would not solder are RTDs and RTEs with the dissimiler metals. that being the case on the O2 the wide band should be less effected than a 1 volt sensor. let me know i can easly cut them and crimp though i worry about connection then.( being a electrician i do not condone crimps on important things cause if i have to fix something dead or shorted it is usually someont messed up and had to crimp a wire ot lasy and crimped a connector on for a outlet instead of wrapping around the screw with thhn stranded)

being IBEW I agree but it had to do with the voltage drop or something heck that was 4 years ago

They still tell us not to solder the wires on the patch O2 connector kits. Crimp only.

so the things i did not know
he said about 10 hours of life with leaded race gas.
also i did not know that it is very bad to run bike with logger off. he said it kills the sensor with the sensor heater not on. wow. i know i had race fuel in the old powerwagon and i am betting there was some running time with it powered down since it was not working very good.
well i learned something.
now to remap my bike while trying to decide if the new map sensor had my bike go rick cause i set it up with the (i guess bad) used one from ebay.

kool that will save me some $$$
not only leaded but all race type fuels hurt
and I know for a fact you can get more than 10 hrs of leaded fuel use out of one
