Marren/Bosch 430cc/min injector results
Today on the dyno, Marren/Bosch 430 injectors got 234hp from 10k to 11.5, then increased to 236 at 12K.
This motor is fukken SINGING at the 5-6sec 12K step
I need to up my limiter to 13,000+ (possible??)
Solid 2 hp gain over 10k from the 4 port Marren/Bosch injectors wrt 2 port RC370's.
slight loss below 10K.
Major re-mapping of fuel was required.
We did not re-map ign adv, which might account for loss below 10K.
(Jim we gotta talk, IIRC my fuel map is WAY different than yours, ALL negative numbers)
Note that the RC370's gained 1-2 over OEM in a test earlier this year.
I'll do a leakdown tonight, and if OK, next weekend I will test OEM injectors at 70psi (BEAR advice)

Interesting test Karl.
Too bad you couldn't optimize the timing at the same time. It will effect the A/F ratio.
I would expect the maps to be different, we are running very different cams and compression ratios.

Jim,
I will be running the 430's in the future, retire the RC370's, then i'll play with timing.
We had to take 10 outa the fuel map at low rpm, gradually down to 5 out at hi rpm; tuned it to 12.0 - 12.2-ish. This took a fair bit of time & I had other fish to fri sat afternoon, so i didn't touch the timing.
Could you please put yr fuel and adv maps into an excel spreadsheet and send to me so i can compare (just 100% throttle column)

before running the Bosch 430's i had em tested by Chris at Engine Logixs in Houston on Thurs. I watched Chris do the test. The spray pattern is indeed somwhat different.
Scott,
No wet kit in my immediate plans, Bonneville will get my attention in 2010 (complete re-wiring)
Also I'll be looking at ways to increase the limiter to 13,000+

The first thing I noticed when I installed Bosch injectors was easier cold starting. My alcohol based fuel doesn't atomize well when cold and I am convinced the spray pattern from the Bosch injectors made the difference.

Or VTAC in the U.K. does increasements on Rev-Limiters on the ZX-12's also....Just Google vtac and it should pop up !!!

I have had the motor on the bench 10 times this year.
After my injectors tests, i will pull the motor to check stuff out & install the big cams.
Did a leakdown after the dyno on Sat: 2.5 - 2.0 - 4.0 - 2.0

i just googled VTAC, they say "add 10%" to ECU, not sure what they do???

Marren does some customizing and they fit perfectly; one lil adj to the connectors.
I have no pix, but might be able to get some tonight.
