I'm sure there'll be some last minute registrants with bikes, either way... I'm sure you'll get in a ton of runs in just one day.

Last time, the line was so non-exsistant the last couple hours... you could hotlap 10x in a row if you wanted.

Just out of curiosity, what are the rules/costs for multiple riders on a single bike? I didn't see that on the site, and I can never seem to get someone on the line when I call.

Dean, it's BYOG.
I
Shane, try email. That seems to be the best way to get in contact with them.

All signed up, room booked at the Supa 8, Jim's head is at the post office waiting to be picked up.

Turbo parts nowhere to be seen, Andrew Pearce isn't returning my calls, parts were supposed to be here weeks (and months) ago.

When do you tune Gary?

Will Tune this Saturday. Probably 14#s maybe 20#s. If things go well I'll sign up this coming Monday.

If I do run 14#s in Florida, I'll turn it up a little to 20 for Mojave or Texas.

Be careful what you teach those greasy, slutty, gender-indiscriminate, chain-smoking, ill-smelling, potty-mouthed, pill-popping GB's.
They will try anything, but their arms and legs aren't too flexible

Well, good news and bad news. Good news: The motor held together and the old Busa started to wake up, very smooth!!!!! I installed the two stage boost controller Saturday morning and was on the dyno Sunday. We turned the boost up a little to 340-350ish HP. Then the bike went completely dead. No spark! Loose wire in the ARC igniter. I'll probably work on that this evening or later in the week. If I can't find the issue, I'll just disconnect it completely.

Most important of all I received a care package from Brenda Sue, to help me with the long drive!!
Brenda, YOU are a sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did a dyno today, results are fine.

the obligatory "leak-down after dyno" says I have a motor for Miami; 5 - 3.5 - 2 - 2.5%. :woo-HOO!!!
(yeah, yeah, yeah, the set pressure gauge looks like its not on 100; optical dillusion )

29 & 49!!!!

it did a lil better than the 10% leakdown motor, but we are playing around with sweeps vs steps so apples to oranges, the graph shows steady 237-239 from 10-12K, a rch under 240 at 12k.
It was on the rise at 12K, but i suspended high rpm tests till after Miami Mile. who knows what real hp it is making.
But, i will take it to just under 12500 at Miami
Apparently it's a strong but not record-setting motor. Jan3 will tell

Some run for records, some run for the battle. If the bike is at 100% or 70%, doesn't matter... you show up and duke it out, squeezing it for whatever she's worth at the moment and just hope it's enough.

Karl, you and I are cut from the same cloth in that regard.

Much respect, whatever you run.

hey Mike,
I REALLY liked drag racing more than LSR bc of the competition aspect, having you and Sal doing ZX12 LSR brings back some of that head-to-head stuff; i LIKE it!

"squeezing it for whatever she's worth at the moment"
I am with you there, call it "ignoring the shift light", hoping for the best...

You guys have your game hat on for sure, but I do have some hp; not ever enough, but some.
