Karl,
Tech will start at 7:15 am and there are only going to be 10 or so bikes so we
should be on the start line in no time and it might be 10 or so runs unless the participants list goes over 100

It is still Hot down here todays forecast is a high of 86* but I figure it should be around
65* to 75* by January 3, and being that we are running towards the west I hope we dont have a cold front blowing in from the NorthWest !!!!

Sal.

I was just looking for tech info on their site, couldn't find much. Is there a checklist posted somewhere, or is it all on the rider? ECTA rules?

Looking forward to this

Hey, congrats Karl on the new daughter-in-law.

Good luck Gary with the BBBusa, post what you get.

I may bring a different bike to Miami, and I should have all the ECTA safety tech in place, but wanted to make sure there was nothing else I need to handle. Do they require metal valve stems?

Yes, there will be tech inspection.

Identical to the ECTA's rules.

With such a small amount of bikes competeting, there shouldn't be any problems getting everyone tech'd in within the first 30 min.

Fair warning, they do this thing called, "The HeadStart" program where participants pay extra money to get in a couple runs first thing in the morning before everyone else. So expect another 30 min delay before the actual racing begins.

Also, being that this event will be the first with actual timing lights, records will be kept and posted on the site.

Impound proceedures are identical to ECTA. Must return to the impound immediately for re-inspection before the record can be officiated.

Thanks for the info, sounds good.

What about the Wild West, or East as the case may be. Is that something we can discuss here?

Is it really tasty?

If anything, it would be AFTER MM1... to ensure all bikes remain healthy for the event.

I'm sure we'll all sort out the details and whatnot at the track.

Ah, I see. See you at the track then.

I should receive Jim's CNC head for my NA ZX10 in a few days, and get it set up on a stock displacement bottom end by this weekend. If all goes well, I'll bring it along with the turbo. If the turbo parts show up, assemble easily, and I can get it tuned in time that is. Might just be the NA bike, or if all plans go to hell I'll bring my new toy; a 2000 tagged XR650R;

Wow, only 45 entrants and 7 bikes..................thats my kind of event!!! Reminds me of the first few years at the Texas Mile.

I should be on the Dyno this coming weekend, if it holds together I'll throw my name in the hat and register.
