Miami in January: who is up for palm trees & alligators?

Texas Mile done for the year, Maxton's last 2009 event coming up, time to plan for Jan!

I just talked to Sal (THE ICE MAN) and it sounds like 2 different organizers are going to be using that same track W of Lauderdale, so one way or another we ought to have Jan3 or other Jan date to run.

Sal says the 2 mile track has way more stopping distance than needed, he turns out early.

1200 mi from Houston, just like Maxton, less than an 8 hour drive; piece o' cake.
(TFA doesn't count night driving)

2 months to get ready.

It's about 1000 miles from us. I'm afraid that is right in the middle of "winter build and rebuild" season! But, you never know what can happen.

Somebody has to need an extra driver or someone to sleep in the backseat, surely........I know Fort Lauderdale fairly well, Spent a summer there. The one that all the hurricains hit. They have the best shopping I have ever seen! Anyway, with or with out my bike I have nothing but time!

My license situation is hanging on by a shoestring....and I've got a pending charge that will probably sting once convicted. I talked to Hibs on 12r.org and he wants to go so he may be willing to do the driving for us to and from.

in other words, IF I can make it, I MOST DEFINATELY WILL Make it!

(Phantom....can we drag anyone here out to the 9/10ths afterwards?!?!)

I would realy like to go, but with the holidays and it also being my anniversary a couple days before it'll be real hard to swing. I do hear SleeperBusa is very interested. I do believe he has that nice big truck and I think he still has his enclosed trailer.

I might supprise you all and make it down though!

Busa is good, 12 is still apart...........but I do have everything for it to go back together. Only three more weeks of football for my kids and I'll be able to hit it. Bump the Busa to 20# of boost and set the 12 up for all motor street and occasional TexasMile runs.

you gonna run the Busa at Mar Texas Mile? I am anxious to see that baby stretch its legs!

It would be really good to get the logging set up and functioning flawlessly way before you run it so you can test and re-test it on JC's dyno.
I had to make pretty significant changes to my fuel at the Oct Mile to keep AF about 12.0-12.2.
We don't wanna see you toast yr pretty motor, no!

The plan would be for big bro to run the Busa and I'll just run my 12, but I'll throw a leg over the Busa. Yes sir I'll start on the data logging system right after the kids football season is over (3 weeks or so).
