Shane, a little compressed air can help you install the springs without taking the head off

Forgive me if this sounds dumb, but do you mean pressurizing the cylinder so that the valves won't drop in?

The big can of worms when you remove the head is that you don't want to put it back without cams or porting...right?

yup, pull the motor, valve cover, plugs, and you do it with an air compressor.

I put a stock head and cams back on my motor, it was hard, until i checked the bank account........LOL

I made a few passes and made some minor adjustments. The air was horrible, no BP at all. So, the set up that was really doing well, just would not go. I am anxious to see some decent air again, since what I did went quicker, in worse air. It is very smooth now.

I will get a couple vids up soon.

It keeps the rubber off my tailight, and some of the water from the burnout box from getting up on the paint.

They are 6 years expired, and I think I got them off my father in law's gold wing......lol

No, you adjust the static with the springs that you put on the inside........

If you have them on the outside, it is in slider mode....., and you cannot run the hold back springs in slider mode........

Call Tim if you have any questions........

I've done a little research on rollout over the last few years. With that tire you do have less rollout, but the effect on ET/60 foot is definitely not huge.

There are much bigger effects to be seen depending on how deep you stage.

27" tall to a 29" tall tire on my father in laws a/sa nhra car, is pretty big........., it picked the car up quite a bit, going to 29" front tires.........

if I put a 120/70 stocker on it, it would show quicker et's.......

I needed it, because, I could not get the bike low enough, and have room for the fender, etc, with a larger tire........

It was messing me up, so I got the smallest tire I could find.......

Well, we went up to Sikeston, MO this weekend for some testing.........

My friends zzr12 went 1.41 and 6.10 on pump, with a single stage lock up that I have some special things done to it. Its 550 lbs in race trim, and stock motor. zx12 wheels, and my old swingarm is on it.

I put on a new JRI that Eddie K. built for me, and lived in the 1.3s, but the air was bad, so 5.74 was all I could muster, at 119, LOL, I missed 4th gear at the line, and it nosed over.

Barometer was very low with the front that came through. If air had been better, I really think a 5.70 or 5.699 would have been there..........., my tire was almost bald, and I need some more passes to fine tune the shock.

Its really amazing how fast these stock motors will go, my buddys busa with two intake cams, was runnin right with me, with a gen 1 multi that i do the tuning on.

I checked the clearance on the Hays..........

All these passes............., still the air gap is dead on .100.

Wow

The paint was free........

And last I checked, I was outrunning a lot of bigger motors.

Thanks Mike.

I probably should have had some of my lead on the bike, I think getting too aggressive hurt me.
