afr tuneing at launch rpms
so today i spent some time pissing off my bike running it up to 7000 to 8000rpms to record the afr and cmhg so i can tweek it . it was way off to the tune of 15.5 ish at launch. the ecu uses density (rpm vs cmhg ) when not accelerating hard. i got it much better but it does weard stuff if you do it more than once or twice. it goes stupud lean around 7000 to 8000 and it seems if holding it there in that area and just jerk the throttle it goes lean from 13 to 15 to 1 + and then below 7000 it is over rich.shut it down and cool it off and it is happy. i am thinking it either has something to do with the coolant temp being at the fan temp or it may be going to the an map and it is not set good at that position.
i put the logger on to get this launch afr better and i did do that . i want to record some runs tomorrow if not rained out.
any of you guys sit on a dyno and sort of fake launch to get the tps and rpm positions set afr wise for launch. my bike has hardly any number for fuel there. i had to add more than i already did a while ago.(though on a side note i had to take away fuel from 5400 to 6400 cause it was 11 to 1. for your info everyone the 22.5 colum is where it is looking at when i was way rich but as you lean it out it you pick up vacume and i picked up about 10 cmhg for the same rpms fueling better. it was very intresting. i do think it would be eaiser to set up a tps vs rpm setup just for raceing. i would love to do the same log with a stock pipe and ecu program and see how off it is at 7000 rpms actual{ tach was at 8000 and logger was not above 7600)

on a dyno you have to load launch or you will never be close
hell you have to load any dyno to tune

i agree. why i got a data logger. though not the huge one others got but for 400 bucks and it is small i got a good setup for what i want to do. it is a wego3.
we got rained out this morning so no new data, dam rain. i am sick of this globel warming. all we got this summer if you want to call it that was rain dam near everytime you wanted it to be nice. look it up in my area and i bet there was not more than twice this summer we went more than 2 weeks with out rain every couple of days. and did i mention no hot weather. about two weeks of hot weather. never over 100. hell i bet not over 98. we better get socked with snow for all the cool weather and rain we had this year so far.

last yr i messed with the afr around where i was holding the bike to launch, it made it easier to keep it at a certain rpm
