crank bearing ?
I noticed that when I was putting my cases together and aligning the shifter forks, the end crank bearing fell out of the case onto the crank. We use a green loctite product for holding bushings on shafts, would this cause any problems to hold the shell in place?

Pete.... don't use green loctite. Its sleeve retainer.
Why is the bearing falling out? It shouldn't. It should have some spring to it to hold it in place.

I noticed it when I was tapping the cases together.Twice it popped out.Outside bearing near the alternator.I know it wouldn't affect oil flow but was wondering if that thin film would cause more squish when the cases were together.

Something ain't right. Stop and figure it out. Swap in a different shell. Does it also fall out?

My brother reminded me of how the dry metal to metal contact is a good heat transfer medium. He thought that the crush would change also.Moot point as the motor is in the bike now but a good lesson for me.
