Go Crotchrocket !! Your going to be running mostly with wheelie bar and electronic equiped bikes......could be a little advantage to you as some of the probike guys will cut you alittle slack on their delay box setup when they see a streetbike...I know better than that !!

On a side note I think my track, Palm Beach International raceway, Is screwing us !! Rumor has it that they are going IHRA after the new year and haven't payed their NHRA dues for '09 and won't be bringing a team to Div II finals !! There is going to be alot of pissed off racers, me included, if they fail to field a team this year

Yes, very rare that a non Super Pro type bike does not come out on top on the NHRA div level. I have done it some, but a super big disadvantage to the non electronics bike. Good luck to you, congrats.

I wish my home track was a NHRA track, I could have gone myself several times.

But, as Roy said, sometimes, especially with a bike that looks like yours...., they will back that box off....., and a lot of times, too much........, I have had it happen several times, to the point they made a .580 light, to my .510, and it was all over but the cryin.......,

Wheelie bars are not the issue, its the delay box, and line loc. thats what gets you.

Nox,

I've been to 3 NHRA div II finals....I think each track is allowed 35 racers. Some don't bring that many. Usually it's the top finishers in each class that go, but if you go to at least 4 races over the year your eligible to go

And it works like this.....

There is a race of track champions.....all the #1 fiinishers in each class race each other and the winners are the alternates for the trip to Pomona.
On race day there is actually a race within a race....They give you a letter to place on the vehicle that represents your track. Each round you go is worth one point towards the team points....if you line up next to one of your teammates you shuffle back to race another teams racer.....You won't race one of your teammates till you HAVE to. The winner in each class goes to Pomona and gets some money when they show up in Cali. And they add up all the round wins by each team member to figure out the team champions

Thats the division I race out of Gainseville Fl.....They only took one bike from our track and it wasn`t me......I`ve been to a few of them WITH a delay box and didn`t win.....The boys from down south at West Palm beach and some of the others are bad ass bike racer`s.....They usually bring more bikes than any other track in the division.....They are good....It is a little boring with soo many cars before they get to the bikes.....Crap load of cars.....
Good luck up there......
