i think it was about 20C/70F today and 10/50 yesterday. yesterdays tail wind was pretty good, so temp and wind are probly the main things affecting the 2mph drop. i had 91 octane in the bike too, just incase i sprayed this wknd, but ran out of time 
the wheelies really kill the 330, but im hoping to get them under control with more chassis tuning 
a zx14 went 8.69 with a good shot of nitrous, i think his best on motor was 8.94. thats what i have my sights set on. hes only just broken into the 8s on motor 2 weeks ago with an 8.99@153. i think theres only been 1 other bike running street tires to hit 8s at my track and it was a 360hp turbo gsxr. the kaws did it on motor

theres a final points meet next wknd, then the final race(for fun) is oct 17/18 (if it doesnt snow....lol)

Scott had the guts to build something I never had the guts to do, theory was always there......
FYI, Tim Hays has been making a very similar conversion for single stage lock ups for a while for around 100 bucks.......

no its a 1287, and thank you. had a good tail wind and cool air with the stars and moon ligned up just right lol. im not a lightweight either, 190 suited, so this bike would go faster with a jockey no question
today i was playing with the suspension more. i have it squatting a lot more now and it kinda killed my 60. i even turned the 2 step up 500 rpm and added 25 thou of shim. its barely picking the front end up now, basically stays planted untill it gets out there quite a ways, and then maybe 4 inches. didnt get many runs in, but the worst one of the wknd was a 9.33. mostly in the low 9.2s. i generally give the clutch time to cool down between runs, but i snuck in one extra run at the end of the day with minimal cool down(clutch slips a bit more when its hot) and ran a 9.11 @152(1.57 60), so that tells me what to adjust next. more rpm at the hit, and maybe less weight on the voodoo(but one change at a time) it must have been bogging some all day. today was a bit of a head wind with a bad cross wind. i really dont like leaning the bike over to go straight.....

Yeah, I can stiffen mine, and gain a ton of 60, but on a loose track, it will blow the rear end off at about 50 to 60 ft........
Keep pushing till it acts stupid or punches you in the face, then back down from there

thats the plan.
im thinking of doing a 3/4 tank for next yr.... to get my best launch im not actually sitting down in the step seat, rather hanging from my ribs on the tank with my face allmost into the windscreen. it gets me a lot farther forward, but higher, and its tough to stay in that position at the hit. i usually slide some, but im getting to be ok at it... still not ideal, i want to be that far forward, but also down in the seat

That body weight shift is bad. Put your butt in that seat, and lay on the tank, and dont move.
Tune the clutch to suit.

it was standing up pretty good last time i tried that, got way less wheelie with my face into the windscreen with no other changes.... only one more race anyway then i make something to make me fit into the bike better over the winter
