WTG Ryan. Now just one more. Hell of a run "off the trailer". Lots of thought, preparation, and hard work are paying off. Bet you won't sleep tonight. Adrenalin will get you through the five mile tomorrow. Good Luck. Your friend, larry

Way to go Ryan!!
We went to the Salt a few years ago to spectate and learn some things before going back to run there. I learned that I'm too scared to run there!
I love the history there and it's an awesome place. I'm proud that Ryan is doing great.
Keep us posted.

Dan I think that is either the fact of what you saw there or the fact that you are more afraid of the salt eating you bike than you care to admit to! Either way, It is also something I "Want" to do but have serious reservations about actually doing it! Welcome to the club
Ryan SERIOUS Good work!

Hi guys. Just got home late last night. A big THANK YOU to everyone who was rooting for me out there on the salt. I really appreciate it guys.
There is absolutely NOTHING and I mean NOTHING like watching the sun come up over the mountains from impound at Bonneville! One of the coolest experiences of my life.
After sitting down with a calculator to figure out my exact average speed I ended up missing the record and a red hat by 0.081 mph. It's a tough pill to swallow but that's what makes racing on the salt such a challange. I'd be lying if I told you guys I wasn't sick about it.
I'm not going to give up. I'll be back to try it again. Anyone want to car pool to Speedweek next August?
I have some pictures I'll post as soon as I get them off my camera.

Damn sure we were rooting for you, and we were amazed by yr 217 and then flattened when missed it by such a tiny margin.
For sure Bonneville is in my plans for 2010; just can't do Speedweek
