Loring: a BIG thanks to Doug Meyer!

that ole Doug, always going faster than me on my own bike

Doug rode my bike and Y2K's, both green Y2000 NA ZX12's, pretty much the same 1427 build, but Jim's is lower CR, streetable; mine not so much.
222.2 on my maxxed out heap, 218.9 on Jim's street machine.

Within 1/2 hour Doug may have set the 1st and 2nd place all out records for NA Kawasaki anywhere. (i am trying to check this)

Go - Doug, GO!

Karl

Yes, a big thanks to Doug. Awsome job.

And brenda sue for the sun screen.... without which I'd have been burnt.

And you Karl for all the sprockets without which I'd have been slow as hell.

Karl and Brenda sue for the steamahs.

The term "steamers" probably has a different connotation in the local Goliad, TX vernacular - and then only during the winter months. Too bad - I'll have to settle for smoked brisket and a warm Lone Star instead.

Oct 13-15 (i think), we'll be waiting on you!
you don't have to have warm beer unless you prefer it

I don't know what you'd get in Goliad if you asked for steamers.

I will do a leak down tonight or tomorrow, but it feels rock solid, even after repeated passes to 12.200. I dunno how much it would like going onto the limiter like what happens routinely at 1/4mi; just don't know. It is set up pretty tight.

Well my tranny is stock and gets clutchless foot powershifts on a regular basis on the street and has held up for many, many miles. The motor is making in the 220+ hp range.

I do wear out forks on the street thou.

Great numbers from what sounds to be an excellent meeting, well done all,its been good to read.
I think you could be right about your 1427 bike holding the top N/A speed record as the UK best is around 216 mph over a mile and a half.
We have a meeting at Elvington in two weeks limited to a mile due to some issues on the site but in September we are hoping to run a new records meeting at Woodbride over all distances.

I don't know what you'd get in Goliad if you asked for steamers.

My return to the Great State of Texas wouldn't be the same without at least one warm Lone Star for old time's sake.

My buddy Cecil grew up in Goliad on a 300+ acre cattle farm. I'm sure he as a well-formed opinion on what constitutes a steamer.

If the roadracing politics continue on their current trajectory, I may very well find the time to make it next year. Besides, I haven't OD'd on lobster since that 100-year-old crustacean showed up on my doorstep last year!
