Back Up Leathers For Loring??
I ordered some new leathers today, but there seems to be a possible shipping problem. It looks like they might not arrive until Tuesday-Wednesday. Since I don't have a warm-fuzzy feeling on this, is anyone bringing a spare set in the size 46/48 range?
I hope to have my new set by then, but I am getting a little stressed. I have a set that can be repaired to work, but I am trying to cover all of my bases. I want to play it extra safe.

Damn... not sure they would of fit, but my (and Deb's) Bonneville leathers just left on their way west.
Brooks (Todd not Roy), is coming up with Scott Griswald to run his car, they may be a bit large but I'll bet he'd be glad to bring his if you want. Let me know if you want his number or want me to ask him to bring them just in case.
What's wrong with your old leathers... if it's the zipper thing I'll bet we can fix that no problem.
Also if you can reroute the leathers maybe they can ship them straight to the hotel up there?

My old ones are just the zipper issue. I'm hoping to get the new ones because they will fit, and I saw a lot of turbulence at speed on the old ones. I suppose that losing 45 lbs. can cause that. I guess there is always duct tape for that!
I'll keep after the vendor, and if I don't have good tracking info by Monday I'll go from there. Thanks Todd.

Look at the shoulder and elbow areas flapping, just before the traps:

Even getting tighter down, there is just a lot of cow there! I sure hope the new ones arrive on time!

Shane, there's a guy in Falls Church, VA that does leathers. A guy locally was happy with the work, maybe give them a call and see what kind of turnaround time you can expect for them to take your present leathers in a bit:

Story with a happy ending:
Todd (Narider) posted a picture at Landracing.com from the Loring, ME event, at speed:
First the old, floppy leathers (at Maxton):

New, improved Joe Rocket's:

I had picked up a set of smaller Joe Rocket leathers, because my old AGV Sport ones were really flapping in the breeze. The Joe Rocket's really helped me get out of the wind. Being 6'+ in height, and 215+ lbs. suited, I am very happy to get even that small on the bike. Plenty of improvements to be made to bike and rider aero's, but I think I'm headed in the right direction, leathers-wise.
It's also pretty amazing to see just how much the leathers "puff up" at speed.
Thanks for the photo Todd, definitely worth a thousand words...
