1361 camshafts?

Hi! Have just ordered Muzzys 1361 kit to my 2001 ZX-12R.
I´m thinking of changing camshafts.
What degrees on STD cams?

Have someone with 1361-kit changed camshafts?

What manufacturer?

Much more hp, torque?

Cost?

/ Mikael

Lee's Performance http://www.leesperformance.com Tell Lee that Bergie sent you. He has custom aftermarket cams for the ZX12.

catman,
I also (like Bergie) am running Lee's cams, int & exh along with stonger springs and light head work on a stroked 12. I dunno if there is a BIG perf incr, but have run 156mph several times in pretty still air so the hp is there (using nutec but I am 230# suited)

Entrophy, do Lee´s sell cams or do you have to send in your own to have them hardwelded?
I see that someone use their stock intake cam on exhaust.
Do you know the numbers on Lees cams?
Do you know the prize?

ATOM-racing have done headwork for me so that is taken care of.

No. I have a stock intake cam on the exhaust side. Lee's sells aftermarket cams like Entropy has that should be worth 5 to 8 rwhp. I didn't have the $$ last time I built the motor. Maybe this winter I will add the full aftermarket cams.

I believe the cost is near $800 ($400 each camshaft) and no they do not re-weld stock cams (no exchange required) these are custom made aftermarket cams that Lee's sell and he does not share the specifications/numbers on the cams they are his own "custom grind".

Bergie, I had to send a core to get my cam from him which is a weld-up. If I'm not mistaken, the lift of the small cam I got from him(he sells an intake and exhaust, intake is bigger) was just under .400. I'm using Lee's cam on the intake, stock intake in the exhaust. Don't have a clue what they're worth hp wise. The numbers on the Webs I've seen on their site don't seem much bigger than stock but that doesn't mean they won't add power. Can't remember how much I paid for his springs.

Can you save lee, and the rest of us some time, by
Posting the cost of the springs.
Maybe this would be a good item for a group buy.

We have already profiled a set of Stock ZX12 Cams...
