mini project: fuel cell/bottle bracket
Im giving my arm a slight bit of bracing and making a fuel cell and bottle bracket all at once
ill get under bracing later for when i really push the nitrous limits, for now im not maxing it out so i should be fine. (ran as much with 8 in bolt on extensions last yr)
im making it out of 1/8 aluminum( and cardboard lol ) picked up a -16 fitting and cap for the gas cap. the rest will be brass and SS hard lines. (got a bunch of SS line for free)
QUESTION:
is there a minimum size feed line and output(to regulator) line for a Holley Blue pump?
suggestions welcome!

lol maybe this will be a bit easier for the tig guy

reading about the fuel pump turned up a 3/8 min size fuel line, but this was talking about running a 300+ ci motor.... not a nitrous kit on a bike. I have 5/16 SS hard lines.... I think they will be ok?

so Im going to hold off on all the expensive tig work until winter .... Ill be running the small plastic tank up in the tail again, but im setting up the Holley Blue and regulator instead of the NOS pump. the jets will be set very rich untill i see how it acts( 4 pill spread)
I made this bracket tonight for the bottle clamp, nothing fancy, made it out of stuff i had lying around. a piece of 2x2x1/4 angle and some 1x1/8 strips bent to fit. I used the existing threaded holes the previous owner put there.

im going to mount the pump roughly here, and i need to make a bracket for the reg. I still need to pick up a few fittings (brass is cheap )

btw, how do i tell which side is return? theres one IN and 2 OUT ports, no more identifying marks for fuel flow?... the reg is a Holley 34R-6657B

heads up event in 7 days i want to do well in, quickest bike last yr was 8.87 or somewhere around there. he busted his oil pan a month ago, so if he didnt toast any bearings, im sure he will be running those numbers again... black 14, jockey, brocked out, 65ish in WB, "small" dry shot..... that is the target

so due to the small size of the plastic tank, i opted to run the NOS pump again this season for a few reasons. (yeah i change my mind a lot)
Im not running at Loring , and im not running a big shot like i had planned, so fuel requirements are not huge, and pressure isnt quite as important. a small hickup at 1.25 miles may melt something, 1/4 mile you can get away with things like that *most of the time*. setting up the NOS pump was much easier too, i used rubber line and wrapped it in plastic conduit. i had to make a couple brackets, but no big deal
basically i have a few nights of wiring ahead, and hopefully ill get to test it friday night after i make some motor passes to see how the clutch holds up with a fixed hub and new set of steels... so... Schnitz RPM window switch and a 2 dial progressive nitrous controller, EFIR-12, low fuel pressure switch, some relays, safety solenoid ect. and if theres time a Boost by Smith rpm activated switch connected to the horn button
