smash crunch

well, i must have 9 lives.

i was in the back of that lincoln last monday.. just gettin home now.

figured i'd swing thru and say hi to my bikeland family tho..

we got hit by a rolloff dumpster truck. the BIG one. a white freightliner to be exact.

my boy that was in the passenger seat got beat up pretty bad with a bruise lung, sheared humerus (sp?) which is now pinned with a Ti plate for the rest of his life, 7 broken ribs and a lacerated liver, among an assload of facial cuts (some quite nasty) and whatnot.

i don't even know how the hell i got away with only rib contusions and a few little holes from the glass in my shoulder and hands.

this isn't the first time i'e been a passenger in a vehicle that was t-boned.. maybe not the last. haha.. oh well, had to have happened for a reason.

well, i'm out, my right arm isn't really working like it should and i'm feeling this nasty weather we're having.

you guys stay safe and take care.

thanks for the god word guys. i appreciate it.

oh, the other passenger isn't my son..lol.. iin saying he is my "boy" i meant buddy.. hood talk i suppose..lol

the driver stepped right out with barly a scratch on him. i was out after i caught my breath and assessed if i was still intact and alive and all.. it was a very weird feeling. i spet as much time as i could keeping my buddy, who was pinned in the seat, alert and awake.

i couldn't have gotten him out if i tried. he's 6'7". the dash and floor and door all caved in nicely to pin his legs in place. as well, i'm certain i would have done more damage than good to him by trying to get him out.. both to him and myself.

my buddy is doin well tho all considered and the driver is ok, even tho he feels like total shit due to the guilt and horrible feelings and all.. but i'm not mad at him, nor is my buddy.. shit happens.. this happened for a reason.. not sure what it was, but everything has it's place on the time table.

it's a good thing tho that we weren't in a smaller car or the dumpster wasn't loaded full of scrap steel or aliens or whatever. that would have had a drastic impact on the outcome.. i'm down to 7 lives.. went thru something similar to this in '02 with a tahoe and an astro van. i went thru the windshield a bit on that one..lol

man.. a casket truck.. whats the odds. lol.. that had to suck. thats about the same size as the truck that hit us.. he was probably doing 50-ish. if he would have not swerved to the right lane, he would have hit dead center of where i was at in the car and probably banged me up alot worse than i am now. the dude (truck driver) veered from the left lane to the right in a panic move. pushed us about 60' i'd say as well after impact. he hit the door first, thus why most of the damaged is concentrated there.. they had the roof off that car so fast it was amazing. no sooner i had got out of the car and the crew was already there. i sat down to keep the stress off me and next thing i know, the jaws of life and cutters came out and were on the car in no time. not the way i planned on my monday night ending.. sitting in the hospital waiting for a clean bill of health and all..

the one chick on the ambulance crew tho.. man,. i wouldn't mind seein her again.. wow.. she was hot as hell. maybe in better circumstances and conditions tho..lol

again, i thank ya's for the kind words and all.. it's appreciated.. my banged up buddy is also my go-to body and paint guy, so in time he'll be the one painting my bike when it's ready. maybe we'll dedicate it to our little incident somehow..

you guys be safe out there!! i love ya's like family. hopefully you'll have a better time out there on the roads than i have..lol

Oh my, I am so glad that you are ok. If you need someone to talk to just call me ok. any time. And maybe it isnt such a good thing for you to be a passenger. Think about that and maybe find a way to use it to your advantage. Everything happens for a reason! Take care of yourself.

thanks guys!! ya.. definitely coulda been alot more nasty.. i notice EVERY single lincoln LSC and freightliner rolloff dumpster truck now.. lol.

i've been kinda paranoid lately in other ppls cars.. that kinda sucks.. i feel like a backseat driver of sorts.. always watching, making note of approaching cars and just making sure whoever's driving knows they're there. probably to the point of being annoying.

i deserately need to get a checkup.. i don't think things are healing right. i had something pop with horrendous force a few nights ago and it just made no sence where it was and why.. wondering what moved to cause that.. it was between my right shoulder and spine.. damn near crippled me for a bit.. woke me from a dead sleep, which btw, i can usually sleep thru World War 12. i hear lots of odd cracks and feel wierd stuff movin that i'm not accustomed to.. and it really kills me at the shop because my boss is a lazy slob and i usually end up having to push the bikes around.. we have a gravel lot as well they're usually on.. most times i protest and wait for assistance.. especially on heavy crap like harleys and old bikes, but lighter stuff i'll usually move myself.. thats probably just plain stupid of me.

someone said the insurance company will give me the cap, which i think is 20K, but honestly, i REALLY doubt that.. man, that'd be nice tho.. lol.. at least i could get my debt paid off and get my license back and my bike build done with that.

oh well.
