Dane & nb311, certainly no action needed, just curious if folks had good or bad experience.

I was waiting on replies from Barrios about 2 issues i had with recent ebay purchases from "nolaknights"
.
He came back with "no discussion, all sales final"

I was a lil bit surprised since he has a very high satisfaction rating on ebay

So here is some customer feedback for my friends out in bikeland.

1. head & cams for zx12, 2 issues:

a) i asked him before shipment, if i sent him an extra $50 would he assure the head & cams were packed with excellence.
- He said he would.
- They were packed in a flimsy cardboard box, with a couple pieces of cardboard, 2 plastic pillows, and a shop rag.
- the face of the head was sitting directly on an alternator/cover when i got it
- i want my $53.33 back but i ain't gonna get it

b) he said there was no damage to the head:
disclaimer: the damage to the bosses/casting was covered by a fabbed motor mount and i don't think nolaknights was aware of it.
But, look at the f motor mount bolt bosses, and the dented casting over exh port #2,#3
oh well... I can fix the head, and like i said before, damged or not i got a good deal on the head & cams.

2. Alternator & cover, ebay description said damage on the cover
- yep, he was right, the cover is junk
- But the alternator itself also has a junk plug, so for me, it is junk.
- i want my $35 back but i ain't gonna get it
oh well... only $35

i am not gonna rant and rave.

I did get a very good deal on the head & cams and for that I thank nolaknights.
BUT i will not buy anything from him again

My initial impression, based on your information, is that this guy sucks ass.

Maybe he will come along and straighten things out.

I am not really concerned as I got a great deal on the head & cams; the repairs are not terribly major.
(just pisses me off a bit)

I got a case from him at the same time as Karl. Actually looks pretty good, except the oil pressure relief valve had rubbed a hole in the bottom of the box. I bought a throttle body at the same time, asked him if he would combine the shipping. No reply recieved, so like Karl, just went ahead and paid. The throttle body was actually wrapped very well, and was in the same box. I feel the same, not a big deal, just enough to piss a guy off a bit. He obviously made money on the shipping. That being said, I got a billet clutch basket, and some other clutch stuff, and misc. parts a year or so ago, and that was all OK. He shipped quick, it just seems you are taking your chances, probably like a lot of ebay stuff...

Yep, getting things shipped can be a real bitch!!! I can't believe people don't have proper integrity to be straight forward.

Karl, what do you need an alternator cover for? I think I have my old one 00 model in the garage, I'll look if you still need one. It's not mint, probably has scratches from rough handling on my part, but it's free for you. I went to the lighter 02 flywheel set up a while back.

Crap, sorry Karl. 9 times out of 10 things go smoothly on Ebay, especially with high feedback, but sometimes you get screwed. I've had Paypal refund 3 bad deals, but it's a pain. Leave honest feedback, help the next guy.

Shayne,
As I said up above, i do believe you were not aware of the head damage, and i can fix the head.

I was most disappointed in the poor packing after i had sent the extra $53.33 for "special" packing.

refund that to me and your customer satisfaction will go back to 100%.

KARL I'M A STAND UP GUY. I HAVE YOUR ADDRESS AND WILL SEND YOU THE 53.33 IN CASH. YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE FEEDBACK FIRST. I HAVE ALOT OF EBAYERS THAT LIKE TO PLAY GAMES, BUT AS I CAN SEE IN YOUR PICTURES ITS NO B.S. I GUARANTEE YOU THE STATOR WORKS BECAUSE I DID CHECK THAT BEFORE POSTING THE AUCTION.

Shane,
you need to go into yr ebay and:

"Sellers can also ask buyers to revise neutral or negative Feedback, although there are a limit on how often sellers can use this feature."

I tried to change it but cannot until you do this.

(i am learning something everyday)

I don't have a dog in this fight, but it seems like the refund should be issued *before* the negative feedback is removed. That's just good Ebay etiquette. To do otherwise sounds suspiciously like a game. Karl held up his end of the deal completely. In order to make it right, the seller should assume a little of the risk, take the initiative and issue a refund immediately.

ACTUALLY IF YOU WANT TO GET TECHNICAL THE EBAY AUCTION CLEARLY STATES
"ALL AUCTIONS ARE FINAL-AS IS. NO RETURNS"
SO I'M STICKING MY NECK AND POCKET BOOK OUT TO CLEAR UP SOMEONE ELSE'S MESS! ( MY CUSTOMER, NOT YOU KARL)
HAD THIS BEEN MY PARTS THERE WOULD BE NO DISCUSSION, REFUND, OR OFFER OF ANOTHER HEAD PERIOD. NEGATIVE FEEDBACK OR NOT!
YOU CAN GO TO BARRIOSRACING ON EBAY AND READ MY FEEDBACK PAGE IT MEANS NOTHING TO ME!

When you write "IT CAME FROM A CUSTOMER", do you mean that your customer packed and shipped the head? If not, and you packed and shipped the head, and you accepted extra money for special packaging that was above and beyond the auction amount, then it's your mess, not your customer's. I'm not trying to get you wound up, I'm just trying understand the situation.

Should be easy enough to look at the return address on the box and see who it came from. If it came from his shop it should say so.
