IDBA is closing!!
I received a letter from the IDBA yesterday that said the IDBA will be closing effective September 30, 2002! For 27 years, it has been running strong. I am seriously sad to see it go. What, if anything, is supposed to replace the organization?? They organized the only bike races at my local track.
On a good note, they enclosed a list of the points standings which shows our own Mad Mike way ahead in Street ET points. MM is also a close 2nd in Pro ET No Box. MM's buddy Chad Winters is 3rd in Street ET and 5th in Pro ET No Box. Congrats MM and Chad!!
It also said that event revenues have not been able to support the purchase of any #1 or runner-up plaques for any members. They enclosed a number for Classic Trophy at (260) 483-1161 if anybody wanted to purchase a plaque or championship trophy. Mike, did you get yours yet?? If not, I will call them and see what it will take to get your #1 plate and championship trophy.

Yes bad news, I havent seen my letter yet but I read it on dragbike.com Yea it kind of sucks that I have to buy my own championship trophy, but I worked very hard this season to win that, and I dont think anyone gave me any rounds!
