You know, I was sitting there thinking about what you said Karl.... and I can't help but get the feeling that I've got an imaginary bullseye on my back. lol
Karl, if all goes well at Loring.... would you be interested in making it a double header and swing down to Miami to run the 9/10th Mile? I know of a couple N/A 1287's you could play with.... maybe even a certain "S" badged 1348.
It'll be a shitload of fun, I promise!

Karl, I take that as a enormous compliment!!! Thank you.
I'm sure we'll get to rub elbows again sooner or later, in fact I'm looking forward to it. Heck, I would be going to Loring this year if this damn Mustang GT project wasn't such a money pit!
I'm taking off the heads today, doing a light clean-up on the ports and some chamberwork. These Ford P.I. SOHC 4.6L engines are pigs from the factory. Your Crown Vic has the same engine, right? It's no wonder cops won't chase bikes....
Mike,
It IS a compliment, you are riding the piss outa a VERY well built bike; having the 9/10's nearby must be a tremendous advantage in developing yr technique. Also having Sal at yr elbow is a HUGE advantage.
Just remember: "Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill"
I've been meaning to come to the 9/10's for a while, one of these days I'll make it.

Yea the PI heads are not a great performer stock, but we have an awsome CNC program for those PI heads. We do a ton of those and the 05 and up 3 valve ones also.
I'll give you a special "bikeland" deal on CNC porting them....

Funny part is that according to the books, I should be the one gunning for you. lol It's going to be tough to squeeze a 209mph N/A run out of my 1287.... I might just have to switch classes and knock on the MPS-1350/F and APS-1350/F doors. Been itching to stop babying the engine and start spraying it.
Who knows... might go naked and see what Ali's talking about.
