Look, I'm sure that none of this was intentional. Probably just the sad way things go on the internet, and without face-to-face transactions. To Jack, I'd say, try to package things better because the postal service is hard on them. My brake rotor was literally rattling in the box...but it was cheap, and had no apparent damage. When Scott told me he was buying the cylinder head from Jack, I suggested that he make sure that it was packaged well.

To Scott, I don't blame you for being angry...and it is you choice to tell about your experience, and not do business with Jack again. And Jack, you should understand that it wasn't Scott's responsibility to package the item properly. And he was out his money, from someone he wasn't sure he could trust...

Anyway, not much more to say on this...

Shane

Year ago I was bought from JACKSHOW full Catalyst body for 12R. Imagine!, this guy sent me this huge pack from Honolulu to NC with no problems. And my friend from NC sent them forward to me to Europe. This is good guy to deal with I think! I live in Europe at all and I`m very happy with our deal

Ive been busy with work, so im just getting to this now. Jack, Im just telling it like it is, im not talking shit, im not threatening you, im not calling you names, and im not swearing at you. Im just letting the guys know how you were to do buisness with. I would still be telling this the exact same way if you were going to race at my local track (Miramich Dragway Park in New Brunswick Canada). I didnt even post publicly untill you told me to "fuck off very much" as a reply to my "Im not interested in ever doing buisness with you again. thank you for the offer though". that sort of tells me what type of guy you are. and you want me to respect you after that???
i dont see anyone trying to have you banned either?

lets start from the beginning, I believe you sent me a pm stating you had agood used complete head for sale, and to get my email in response to a wanted add. i cant access the pm's as they are still down, but heres the string of emails. to make this simple, ill put Jacks in bold and mine in it italics

Pics of head, let me know. I dont know what a complete head goes for so let me know what you guys were looking for. Thank you.
(there were 8 pics which showed a good used head)

thank you for the pics Jack. looks like a good stock head.> was it milled down any? would you take 250 plus shipping for> it? thanks!

I would like $350 cause the shipping will be $50. Let me know what you think, thanks.

(no chance to reply before next emails)
If you can give me $300 its a deal.

thats 300 shipped

deal. you have paypal?

Yes I do, ________ (I wont list your email incase you dont want it public)

(i sent the money)

Hey bro, I was packing the head and noticed there was a broken bolt where the thermostat housing goes. I can have it removed but it will be a few days before I ship or I can just ship. Please let me know. Sorry about the delay but I could not just ship it out.

Hey Jack, dont worry about it, I can take it out when it gets here.

Ok, I will send it out today. (October 13 08)

Hey Jack, did you get a tracking number for the head? I havent recieved it yet. thanks!

Box has to go through customs, it was sent US Postal Service, the form # is CP912904970US. Let me know if that helps. If not I will scan the form and send to you or see the post office myself.

Hey Jack, I picked up the head for dads bike from the post office today. it was rather beat up, and not really packed that well. the head will need to be milled before it can be used. Also the cam cap is not in the box, and 8 of the buckets are smashed....

I packed her pretty good they handled it like crap. There is and automatic $150 that you can collect if there is damage so before you do any work show them the damage and collect the $150 please, dont let them get away with that. That damage was not done when I sent did they unpack the box to look in it? I did not know you wanted a cam tower thought you just wanted the head, do you need it? is yours damaged? Why do you need to mill the head it came off of a stock motor I have here that was working fine???

There was only some balled up newspaper on the top and bottom, it was hardly enough. when i pack something i put minimun an inch of styrafoam and then fill the inside with foam popcorn or paper so nothing can move. i can take pics of what it looks like. theres dents, scratches ect. the corners took a lot of abuse where there was the least amount of packing material. basically just the cardboard box. no way in hell would it ever seal on a headgasket without being milled. the box was unopened untill i got it, but it allmost opened itself because the head was floating around in the box with hardly any packing material. you told me it was a complete head minus one shim. there are no shims, half the buckets fell out and broke because there wasnt enough packing material, and of course i need the cam cap. the head and cap are machined as a set, you cant use another cam cap the same way you cant swap case halves. I paid for a complete head (minus one shim) that didnt need any work. and got something i cant even use. Shane warned me about this sort of thing, I guess you shipped him a rotor that basicaly floated around in a box with no packing material either

You can ask anyone on the internet about doing business with me and they have had no problems!!! If the head is such a piece of shit then send it back to me and I will refund your money. You are implying that I tried to rip you off and I dont like it! Also you are also calling me a lair and that makes me very mad!!! And dont tell me how it wont seal on a normal head gasket blah blah blah when it came off a running motor!

Another thing tell Shane to email me asap so I can refund him on his "bad" rotor. I sell it to him for dirt cheap and then you guys complain behind my back like women.

I pay for insurance to protect myself against situations like this so I need you to collect the $150 or whatever they cover, use $50 of that to send me back the head. Keep the $100 left from that and I will pay you the $150 when I receive the head I will send you the $250. I dont want you keeping the head and talking about me being a bad seller.

Actually Shane had a problem with your packaging( Im not sure who else you have dealt with at this point). Lucky for him it was a rotor, not something like a cylinder head that is a lot easier to damage. The rotor is fine, but the head is not. He nor I claimed you sent him a bad rotor, but we both agree that the items we received from you were not packaged well. I think you need to apologise for your negative comments about us, its not a very mature thing to call us "women". Im getting my good digital camera back from my sister tomorrow night and I will show you the damage the head received. Just because it came off of a running motor does not mean its still in good shape now, which you will see when I get you pictures tomorrow night. I can take the head to a machine shop to get a quote on how much it will be to fix the damage it received, which is what the insurance is for, although if the head had been packed properly none of this would have happened. Im sure you have ordered stuff from APE or Schnitz or Brock, you know how they package stuff, and it doesnt arrive in pieces. You still havent mentioned the missing parts either, "a complete head minus one shim" is not what I received. I need the 15 shims, and the cam cap. I would appreciate you not jumping to conclusions. Treat me with a little respect. I have not called you names, and I have presented the facts respectfully instead of replying in the mannor in which you did. Im not looking for a fight, I want to get this worked out the right way. Frankly I have the right to be upset because I didnt receive everything I was supposed to be getting, and what I did get was damaged. I havent flown off the handle at you, what good does fighting about it do?

There is no need to take it to a machine shop to fix it. I want you to collect the insurance asap or they will think its a fake claim, too much time has passed. I then want you to ship the head back to me and I will refund the difference between shipping to me and insurance payout. You never asked me for a refund or said you were unhappy you went straight to "I got a part I cant even use, I was warned about this about you." I sent the head exactly the way they were in the pictures, no cam tower in the pictures. I do have the cam tower but its beyond that, I want it back and I will refund you, and all it will cost you is a trip to the post office. I send all the buckets and all the shims now you say you have none, I have no idea where they went. They probably got thrown away with the packing cause they were all there except one. I checked this personally. I do not lie and I do not cheat anyone, ever. You should have said you were not happy and went fromthere. The shipping on the head was $56, you got a head for under $300! Do you think you could have found one cheaper. I am trying to be helpful and you respond with attitude! You should have wrote me about the damage without the stupid comments about "I was warned about this." Anyway its too late now, this is all sour. Get the insurance and send it back and when it is recieved I will refund. You already feel I have done wrong by you and I feel you jumped before I could make it right so I will be more comfortable with you not having any of my parts. Thanks, Jack Cambra Jr.

You are taking what I wrote out of context. I did not say anything about being warned about getting unuseable parts. I was warned about your packaging. As soon as I opened the box and saw damaged parts I emailed you to let you know that there was damage and missing parts. I put the head back in the box and it has sat on my bedroom floor ever since untouched. I didnt throw anything away as Im going to get pictures of how it arrived. There are no shims in the box. 8 of the buckets stayed in place and had no shims under them, the other 8 were shattered and loose in the box. I do not want to ship the head back to you at this point, thats why I havent asked for a refund, I want to get it fixed with the insurance money(thats what its for). I had to pay $60 just to get it from the post office, and I have no guarantee that you will refund the money if I send it back. Its understood that a complete head includes the cam cap. Its right in the manual, if either the head or cam cap is damaged they must be replaced as a set. They are bolted together and then machined. The same as the cases. You cant swap case halves and you cant swap cam caps between heads. I want you to ship me the cam cap (and please package it in lots of foam and paper so no damage occurs) and Ill get the head fixed with the insurance money at a reputable machine shop. It needs to be milled in order to seal on a headgasket due to the dents and scratches it received in shipping. There is also a large crack that should be tigged by the cam sensor, a corner was allmost broken off. Theres a lot of damage by the cam chain tensioner too, but I think I can fix that with a dremmel and hopefully it will seal with silicone allong with the O ring.> its your word against mine about the shims, so theres nothing I can do about that at this point.

I repeat, I want you to ship the head back. You will be fully refunded I give my word. Since it is a my word against yours with no proof on my behalf I want the head back and will refund you what ever money needed so it cost you nothing. This is the only acceptable deal I can accept, no exceptions.

Jack, I have no way of knowing that I will be refunded so I dont want to ship the head back. I never wanted a refund, I want this deal to be finished. You need to send me the cam cap and I will have the head taken to a machine shop to fix the damages it recieved in shipping with the insurance money, and whatever extra it takes to have it fixed will come out of my pocket. Why is this unacceptable?

It is unacceptable because I do not want you to have any of my parts and have any reason on earth to talk about my service. Now you want me to send you the money up front too? On a refund the parts must be received first, peroiod. Now you are saying that I am going to rip you off further insulting me!

You keep calling these "your parts". I bought and paid for these. I havent asked for a refund. I dont want a refund. I want the rest of what I paid for. A complete head includes a cam cap. Look up the part number, it shows the head and cam cap as having the same number as they are sold as a set. Two pieces with one part number. One without the other is basically useless due to the machining process. They cant be swapped to other motors. Its the same as case halves, you cant swap upper and lower case halves between motors due to the machining process. Im attaching pics of the damage.
(the pics were the ones i posted in this thread earlier)

I hear what you are saying so you can stop repeating yourself. I sent all the shims but one, you said there are no shims. I dont have shims to give, they cast hundreds of dollars. I would rather reverse this whole process so I will paypal you back some money and you can ship the head. Let me know how much the insurance covers.

I dont want a refund! Ill say it again because you keep ignoring me. I want the cam cap not your money.
(several days go by)
Are you shipping me the cam cap out not? Ive waited patiently for a reply. Insurance is only for loss not damage so they arent covering anything. Please send me the cam cap so I can get this sent off to be fixed.
(a few days pass)
I am not on island at this time I will contact you as soon as I get back.
(21 days later)
Are you home yet? this needs to get taken care of
(9 days later)
Just got back home, send me your address please.

______

please package it carefully
thank you

(20 days later)
Hi Jack, did you ship the cam cap? I havent recieved anything yet
thx

It is on the way

(16 days later) (Feb 7th 09)
recieved it undamaged. thank you

that was it till just a few days ago. only Shane and Karl knew about it. Karl only knew as I was asking about what sort of fancy machining would be required to get a mix matched head/cap combo to actually work.

(April 14th 09)
Have some parts for sale. Brand new macintosh swingarm never used. It is 12"-16" over and the axle is to fit a zx-10 wheel. You would have to make a bushing to use zx-12 brake set up. Brand new dry nitrous spraybar kit, never used. Also have a flat suspension link and the short lowering links to go with it. Let me know.

Im not interested in ever doing buisness with you again.
thank you for the offer though.

Well fuck you very much.

...and thats one of the reasons why

I just seen your response to my post on bikeland and heard you were bashing me. I never ever had any problems selling products till I dealt with you. I offered you a full refund and you refused so dont you talk shit about me. Would you talk shit online if you had to see me in person? Ronnie Mitchell Racing (my teammates) makes it up to Canada to race, they wanted me to run there to. Dont respond to any of my posts and I dont want to hear about you bashing me because YOU did not let me make good on damaged parts. YOU refused to send back the head. If you sent it back instead of being a pig headed idiot you would have made money back cause you would have got the insurance money too! I will say it again, dont you bash me, I never shit talked you anywhere, anything I had to say I said it to you. No matter how harsh at least I said it to you and not online to try and make you look bad. You guys learning how to race should show some respect to the people who have been there and done it.

Scott, I hate to see you guy having a bad transaction,
but I don't think Jackshow is a bad guy to deal with.
I bought a transmission and he threw in a bunch of extra stuff for the shipping cost.
He's been in the racing circle for a long time.
Give him a chance, i'll bet he makes it right.
May I suggest you two take this offline, sometimes a phone call will work better than emails. Good luck to both of you.

For Jack to make this right he needs to send me 15 assorted shims and 8 buckets for my spare parts collection, and apologise. the head has over 25 hrs of work put into it(fixing, porting ect), and is part of a running bike, so its staying where it is.
if he does that I will call it even, and no hard feelings. i would be really suprised it that happens, but it would be very nice

You should have sent the head back when I told you to before all the work started, that is what you should have done. Then you would have had your money back and then some. I have never had any bad transactions ever, only this one. Oh well cant make everyone happy I guess. And like I said, if you did not trust me to send back the head you were still covered by Paypal. and if someone sent you a part that looked like that and they did not offer you a refund(as now I know you did) you would be mad as hell also...

and I did do business with you and it worked out fine, for me... I did not understand why you would not take care of it like that? and as I see it now there are two sides of this story...
I have done business with both and had good transactions, I hope you two can work it out...

Jack! Jack!! What Horrible packing! Take the heavy paper and Wrap tape around it and then it is at least a lot better! I have known you since the Labusa Days and you in Hawaii! Your short tank is what gave me the idea to make the tanks I do now.

I would handle this a little differently by using a Middle Man where the Head and money goes and then both get sent to the right person. We all trust MM and my suggestion is to send the head to MM and Jack send the money to MM and he resend both.

That was the worst packing I have ever seen.

A friend of mine told me about a head and I asked him to look at it and he said OK! WHen I got the head you could see where the engine had blown up and Piston Ring Pieces had hit the head and parts of the valves were eaten. The Cylinder was Scored badly also. He took the head back but the guy he got it from did not take it back. No good deed goed unpunished! Be careful out there.
