After 6 weeks away; back to the track tonight!!
Damn! Rain and company travel have kept me away from the track for a mo and a half. I am getting butterflies just loading up the bike.
Let's see: the gas thingie is on the right, the pink button on the left??????? Go on green??? Yellow???

Just twist the s**t outta that grip on the right and lean forward... good luck
I am swamped with work too, but am thinking of going to the track tomorrow for a few passes, but skip out of elims to get back to the salt mines. I need some R&R.

well, the bad and the good...
the bad: I picked up a sheet metal screw in the pits while warming the bike driving to the scales and back.
the good: I didn't make a single pass with a tire going flat.
the REALLY good: when I pulled the tire this am I noticed that the clip on my chain was gone... YIKES!!!!!!

Wow... that IS good. Balling up your chain against your cases could really ruin yer day. Sorry you didn't get to run. Could've gone ice-racing if you'd picked up a few more I guess.
The weather is good here today, I am track bound.
When's the next chance for you to get your all-motor beast into the 8s entropy? Or is your bike making it's inevitable decline toward disorder?

ZRXDean,
Good luck at the track today!!!!
My quest for a Team Fat Ass 8.99999 is coming along with Houston's famous HP-winter. In Dec-Feb we sometimes get 30.1" Hg high fronts with 50 degrees and lo 40's % humidity = 105% Hp correction.
This summer in hot weather I'm running lo 9.1's with 97.5% hp correction factor (90 degrees, 70-80% humidity, 29.70"Hg ) so I think a 1.50 60', 3.85 330' will get me into the 8's (barely).
The quest continues
PS
After spending 2 hrs driving around to find a RK530DR master link w/clip, a guy at the shop where I had my new MT mounted showed me how I can use safety wire instead of the clip. He said in all his years of RR they never had the safety wire method fail, after losing several clips (and chains). We'll see

Thanks entropy - I'm shooting for another 'juicy' 8 myself tonite - hope the weather cooperates.
With the kind of air you're talking about, I bet you could get a solid 8, especially with a 3.85 330' - that's steppin out :thumbs

Rrrrr.... frickin' 1/8 mile tonite I did run a 5.911 @ 127 -- 7 thou faster than my 8.97 pass, so I guess I'm happy, although I sure wish I could've run it out. Redlighted hard in the second round, after waiting almost 2 seconds to go... oh well.

5.911 is great! you should be happy
On ET racing s-l-o-w bikes: I always either redlight, or go by them at 150mph to their 110 and I breakout. If I really wanted to win at ET racing I'd buy a 55hp, 15 sec Harley.
Joey,
we are counting on you to bring some serious (that means RUNNING) iron to the shootout! Bringing yr leathers and borrowing a Yamaha won't cut it, eh?

right on... I borrowed a friend's CB1000 earlier in the year to race when the ZRX was hurt, and it was dead-on consistent. No wheelies, spinning, just hit your shift points and run the number. Kinda boring though

Now I didn't think you remembered that, all I can say is that it makes 175hp on motor, and has King's dual stage(maxed out),of course anyone who knows me well, that's a given, and it has a longer arm, well over 65 inches, but running a shinko,it's geared now at 17/48,may bring the arm in a bit more if I have traction problems, putting the shift light, air shifter,air/fuel meter on in the next two days, and the bottle holder on the swingarm as well(if I have room),also,it still has the stock shock, but,we have worked it,I don't know Carl, the competition is tough,I will hit the juice as quick as I can,we plan on running it this weekend to see just what it,and I can do-also,if it's ready in time,my painter's turbo, loooonggg hayabusa, which he want's me to run down at HRP also...
