My advancer is F...K'D!!
All three screws(allen head)are stripped,anyone else had this problem??Also,this sounds stupid,but I have my advacer on the second to the last mark(forward)the direction the arrow is pointing,now at which mark does it need to be at 2 degrees retard from stock??How do I fix the stripped screws also??

sears has an extractor that will work to get the damaged screws out, same thing happened on a cbr600f4 a friend of mine owned, get them out then goto the hardware store and get some stainless steel replacements, they are metric thread so take one of the damaged ones with you to match it up

What he said...most hardware stores will sell kits for removing stripped screws.
Also...I believe every tick on the advancer is 1 degree. The middle tick is 0.

On my way to the hardware store,just got through drilling them out,advancer is fine,bike should be done in a few days,and it looks different.Just hope the dual stage makes a big difference.

Yea...hes right..im a moron. I went and looked at mine after readin that.
5 notches on the advancer...middle notch is zero.

Ok,y'all are definately confusing me with comments like"each notch is 5 degrees",shit,there's 5 "notches"or lines on the advancer,5x5=25,someone please just tell me where the "zero"mark is,and which mark back from zero is -2 degrees.My advancer is currently sitting on the 4th mark(second to last)going with the direction of the arrow(I thought that was 4 degrees advance).

I ain't gotten me one of dem dere high-falutin' 'advancers, but it sure'n sounds to me like yew gotcherself +5 degrees of that there "advance".
5 lines, middle one is zero, right? Move to first mark to right, and it sounds like they say that's 5 degrees. 2nd mark would be 10.
What the hell do I know though, ain't got one, and I'm just talkin' out my anus.

I dont think you are going to get an exact -2 retard. My advancer (off the bike currently) is set exactly between the middle and 4th notch on the advancer...which came out to 2.5degrees of advance.
I guess its possible to get 2 degrees retard..but thats going to be one helluva eyeball measurement

The "big" middle line is zero. All other marks equal 5@ of timing change. Not sure what you are saying concerning the 4th notch, but it sounds like you are over 5@ and more like 8@ to 10@!!!
