In the 8s @ 161... 60" wheelbase
Today was awesome at MIR. At 60" wheelbase I went 9.44 @ 151 with a 1.57 60'!!! Very happy.. but even happier when Ryan Schnitz jumped on my bike and busted off an 8.9 @ 161!!! Yes I got it all on video and the timeslips which I will post on Monday because I'll be racing all weekend. I might get pics up sooner tho..
Here is mine:
1.575
4.145
6.209 @ 120.43
7.965
9.44 @ 151.32
Here is Ryan on my bike:
1.567
4.003
5.934 @ 127.68
7.592
8.99 @ 161.02
Unfortunately Ryan broke his fully prepped ZX12R making a pass on the spray but he coasted to 9.3 @ 115 so I offered to let him ride my bike in "Streetbike" class this weekend and I'll run it in 60" ProSportBike because I need the points...

Damn thats a strong motor! 161 mph? Alittle spray on that and your bike could give Supernut's Busa hell!

That's some riding Bergie, nice job. Beyond Ryan's mad skills, what's the weight diff b/w you two? 100lbs?? Turboblew- I'm guessing there is already a little spraying going on here? At 700lbs, 161mph = 227hp... I could be wrong.

Good numbers for sure, I believe Ryan could run quicker with some more seat time on your bike...He is alot of fun to watch, just don't trip over his invisible wheelie bars like Frank did.
My son is trying to talk Ryan into coming back to Maxton in a couple of weeks, I believe he will if his busy schedule allows it.
Congrats to you Bergie on your pass also, that's your quickest so far, right?

Hey Bergie or anyone, any reports on the MIR race? Jason Miller is supposed to be shooting for record ETs this weekend on his old Busa.

I don't see how he could run THAT much faster then your, especially considering your 60' was nearly the same and the 330' was only a tenth and a half quicker. 10 mph difference?? I know Ryan is light but shit, unless you weight 300lbs, I don't see how he can run 10 mph faster then you. IF he is 60lbs lighter, thats roughly 3mph gain, then MAYBE 2 more mph gain in better shifting skills but thats only 5 mph. You sure he wasn't fogging the air box? LOL. Assuming Ryan on your bike is only around 670lbs, to run 161mph, the Perfcalc is saying about 217hp. The Perfcalc is usually 5-7hp off so I guess your bike is making 210hp?? Thats pretty freakin strong.

I thought Ryan was only 125lbs? (dunno, just a rumor) Him and bike are probably even less than 670, but either way, he can certainly ride.

Hey ALAN,rember last year at HRP,Gadson on the 3" over 1361 bike going 8.99@158?,and he weighs around 175-180 lbs,161mph for a 125er is about right, looks like bergie could go faster on the other end though,I weigh 180 and my 1270 bike last year(189hp) almost duplicated berg's time to the T,I posted the slip around here somewhere, the only difference,I went 152mph,hey berg, don't you weigh like 195lbs??Your 60" is good.

Yeah it broke on his 2nd pass during the private rental on Friday so he let it sit all weekend. Sucks but I'm sure it will be running again soon. It had new bodywork on it and a sidewinder pipe. I'll post a pic in a few..
I weight 195 + gear at the moment and Ryan weighs ~125 so about 70 pounds difference. The trapspeed was up because he sprayed 4th and 5th gear #34 jet dry (35hp shot) on the 161 run. It didn't do much because the bottle came straight out of the cooler which was packed with ice and the pressure was under 500psi at the time. In the past Ryan has gone 9.13 @ 156 all motor on my bike in the past with a 58" wheelbase. This Friday he went 9.0x on my bike all motor at 154 I think I'll have to check the video tape. The mph showed up when he sprayed 4th and 5th but it didn't change the ET much. I asked him to spray it so I could at least get an 8.9999999999 on tape

Yes 9.44 is my quickest. I didn't spray it because I want to learn the bike at 60" before I rely on the power-adder. I couldn't believe it when I peeled off that 1.57 short time! FWIW I haven't been able to back it up I think I'm trying too hard now and need to relax. At least I put down a 9.59 @ 153 during 60" qualifying which is decent for a n/a bike with a fat dude on it
I think Ryan could get an 8.7x and possibly 164 on a dry kit on my bike with 60" wheelbase... we'll find out next time for sure I'll have a warm bottle waiting. Also there was no PC3R on the bike this weekend I never had time to install it.

Doug Witt set a new record 8.483 174.03 and the qualifying times are posted on Dragbike.com but the actual event got rained out Sunday. There is no rain date so no points will be issued. The final event will be held in Rockingham in November. Also I'm not sure if his record will stand because it has to be backed up within 1% and I don't think that was done.
