battery box for zx12
I have a guy doing a prototype for me..........
Who would be interested in one........? I am having it built for my catalyst race front end, not sure if it would work on a stock set up........, doubt it.
Not sure on cost yet..........., it will be mounted, probably tig welded to the stock fairing stay.
I may have him build it so that it bolts on and off, not sure yet............

The Velocity Racing bikes mount theirs there! I already have all of my Data collection mounted in that area and then the wiring is going to be fun to boot!

i bet a custom tank to fit could hold about 2 litres

I will get some pics when i get mine.........
mine will set lower, and actually level........., and we intend to leave all the other stuff in the bike under the tank, and just run two battery cables up front, plus the ground wire for the pc.

He is almost done.
Like I said, it may only work for an aftermarket set of bodywork........, but I will let you know

Chris said he would be willing to do more. He had it spot welded up. And brought it by to make sure the fit was correct. I will post pics when he gets the final welds are done.
What do you guys think would be a fair price? You will have to send your fairing stay to 72034, he will ship it back. Say a chashiers check for 150, and that would include shipping back to the customer in the US?

Its done and mounted up........
I will have some photos up soon. Still have to build the top strap. It will take some hands on stuff to tap a couple holes, to mount a top strap to keep it from bouncing up. I am using battery cables from the stereo store, super high current.....
Give me a couple days.....
Price will be 150 shipped back to you. He will need your fairing stay......., and takes money order only.

nox. any word on whither it well work with the stock body work? i'm thinking about gutting every thing up there any way. a would like to cut every thing out the back of the head lights. just leaving the front lens and what ever it takes to hold them in. then tint the back side of them with some # 5 tint. hopefully it well look like stock tinted head lights. we never run with them plugged in any way.i have been getting rid of any thing the bike don't need to get down the track. the tricky part is it still has to look like a street bike with just extensions and a pipe.

It would work like that......, middle of the front of the wind screen is directly over the middle of the battery.....

I will get pics soon, a top strap will have to be made....., but it took me like 30 min, and I installed 4 heli coils to bolt it with 4 6mm bolts. Used 4 wire from a stereo place, ultra high current. grounded the battery on the front of the frame, ran the pos, hidden back tothe battery box area.
Had a hard drive crash, sorry.......
We have a bike here we are going to get some looks at, but it is a 2000.........
This may not be something that everyone can do, but I can get pics to show how mine was done, and maybe someone in your area can copy.......
I sent some photos on my phone to a couple of board members, maybe they still have them........

Its finished.
I have been busy as all get out. its finished, works well, when I get a chance, i will get some stuff lined out, we have a guy here, we are going to see if what I have will work on a stock lighting set up.......
