you know those lil bastids which loosen up holding the tail section and seat holddowns screws??

TimChin's company (McMaster-Carr) has the solution:

interesting. my 5 min fix was to drill a hole right where the stock "lil bastid" meets the frame trying to get an even bite into both the steel and aluminum(kinda went mostly into the aluminum though) and just pop a normal rivet in there. it been holding fine since with one 1/8 stainless riviet. not as professional, but easy/cheap/functional. just the way i like it

Those tools work great!! Harbor Freight sells them too. That is where I bought mine. I'm sure it isn't as nice as the McMaster Carr version but I only have ever needed to use it twice. Seems ok to me. *shrugs*

Karl,
I thought I told you to just throw those seat hold down bolts in the trash. I never used them on my 12. Just pop the trunk and then the seat pulls right off. No fuss no muss.

hey Osti, I took yr advice about the seat, like you say, no fuss, no muss (whatever muss is)

I bought that tool to put threaded rivets in my swingarm to hold the chain guard on. The arm material is so thin that tapping it works for shit...

whats up Woppi??!!
the Barbis are playing with each other!

I dont use my seat bolts any more either... cause the one time I needed to take the seat off in a hurry was the one time mine started spinning... hahahah...
