No bike at the moment !
Owner came over saturday evening to pic it up I was doing a couple of plumbing jobs and got back around 3:45 pm and got everything together by the time we started doing a couple of pulls it was getting late but the 1st pull at 13.5 A/F 197.3 into a 12-14 mph crosswind a couple of gusts pushed me around a bit.
Then local police were there pulling cars over we saw 2 police cars and then saw 2 of them as they left they were about 1.25 miles down the road went to make my pass and there was one far off the road by the trees I went by him and kept driving until he was out of sight and called my guys and said I am calling it a day.
The owner is bringing the bike back to me on saturday to finish up and I am hoping there are NO side winds !

Well the owner Lamar came by and droped his ZX14 off Saturday afternoon
so we got it ready for Sunday we installed the datalogger back on the bike packed up
my laptop and GPS.
Remember last time out we had bad conditions
Conditions were 86.4*F heat index 91*F
66% humidity
8 -10 MPH winds coming from my 9-10:00 position if heading North it would be a
west nort west wind
Todays conditions were 71* and 5 mph cross winds but did not get affected by them
we went were there were trees along the road wich blocked the wind for us and did
not get slowed down by them.
The bike pulled very fast for only the little work it has we hade a few riders waiting to see what the Stage 1 ZX14 will do so I went and did a 4th gear pull came back and checked the logger made a small adjustment on a few fuel cells and then went to the 9/10th's starting line.
I got on the gas hard and it just lofted right up off the ground a few times had to ease on and off the gas shifted into 2nd gear and it picked it back up and carried the front wheel
for about 75 feet just a few inches off the ground the bike was pulling real strong all the
way past 11,000 RPM indicated I knew this bike was making very good MPH because
I was in 6th gear and just over 11,000 rpm's before I had to shut it down early due to
coming up on a vehicle so I let off the gas hit the brakes and slowed it down I dont pass
anyone at high speeds !
Turned the bike back around went to the starting line and said under my helmet to the
ZX14 O.K. baby lets show these guys what youve got !
Blasted right thru all the gears and in 6th gear agian started saying to the bike Cmon
Cmon tach is at 11,100 Cmon keep pulling 11,300 looked and still had a little distance
11,4?? on the tach and a big smile on my face.
I pulled in were all the guys were standing they said the bike was screaming !
Everyone wanted to see the GPS.
I took a couple of pics of the GPS will put the pic's up in just a few minutes.

Here is the pic of GPS and bike speeds were done in 9/10th's of a mile using
regular pump gas 87 ?? 89 / 93 ?? octane whatever my customer puts in the tank.
Bike is lowered only 0.700" stock wheelbase

That's easily a 203mph bike with Maxton's air/weather/distance. With the exception of Shiphteey (check his sig), I don't think people understand just how difficult it is to put up good mph in the 9/10th's due to the humid swamp air and shorter distance.
200mph N/A in the 9/10th mile with just headwork and degree'd cams is IMPRESSIVE.

Thanks guys it was fun doing this project bike.
It sure did feel good runing it to the 200 MPH mark
I had a BIG smile on my face and high fives by everyone I told them
mission acomplished.
There is a little more to be had with this bike and would like to try a few more things
with it.
The owner said he needs some seat time to used to the bike again

Just might see close to 204-205 with the race gas at Maxton.
I know I can make the bike a bit faster if it were not his daily driver/street bike.

The owner brought the bike to Maxton and he had to do his 125 150 175 MPH runs
on saturday and sunday he had 3 runs from 189-191 mph
He asked me a couple time how should I tuck and asked me at what rpm's to shift at
and then did not follow instructions because we have pics of him coming thru the traps
with his chin even with the top of the windscreen sitting almost strait up.
I personally ran the bike a few days before we left in 94* weather and ran 198.5 MPH
wich at Maxton with the extra distance and better air should have seen 203 mph
Next time I will have my chance on it.
