funny story from the VTX1800 board....

I have some extra time during lunch today so I am posting a story about an
experience I had a couple months back.
My girlfriend and I headed just North of Pittsburgh to a bike night held at a
local restaraunt (Quaker Stake and Lube for the locals). They get about 1000
to 2000 bikes per week!
We were heading home at about 10:30pm on I-79 South. I was passing 4 or 5
cars and running about 70mph. A bike pulled up behind me so I accelerated
past the cars and got back into the right lane. We looked over and the guy was
beside me with his front wheel up in the air so much that he had to stand up
and lean his head over the bars toward the front fender to prevent a back flip.
He looked over at me, accelerated through his gears, changed lanes and took
an exit all while he was still on his rear wheel!
When we got home, I asked my girlfriend if she saw it and she began
screaming about how he was an asshole and how he could have killed us all!
My only response was "Yeah but that was F'n impressive!"
My only regret is that my lady was there. I DO NOT ride hard with a
passanger. If I were alone and he did that, I would have dropped the hammer
immediately. If the plan went accordingly, I would have been way ahead
before he had a chance to drop the front and rip it!
But man that was Impressive!

now THIS is a POWER WHEELIE! 200+MPH!!!
I took this picture Sunday at the World Finals...
This is AT THE FINISH LINE!!!
The orange cube is the first of the 2-cubes at the finish line...
Chip set the front wheel down (puff of smoke...like an air plane landing) AFTER the last cube (60ft after this one) on EVERY RUN of the weekend...EEK...
Now THAT is a FUN WHEELIE!!!
I've got some COOL video of these runs also...
