nitrous jet sizes.. conflicting hp charts
ok, my wet kit is using the recommended jets for a fogger setup for 60 hp 20 N 24 F (NOS fuel pump) thats 15 hp per fogger nozzle
i have the following jets for a dry kit 28 (x2), 34, 36, 38, 40
according to the fogger chart this is the hp gain:
28 =30hp
34 =40hp
36 =45hp
38 =(not on the chart, probly 47-48ish hp)
40 =50hp
according to the dry kit instructions, this is the hp gain:
28 =15hp
34 =30hp
36 =40hp
38 =60hp
40 =72hp
what chart do i go by????

ok, i checked again, my Dynotune dry kit is showing half the hp gain using the same jet as my fogger setup. whats also interesting, is the Schnitz dry nitrous chart is consistant with the fogger jetting chart. why would the Dynotune kit show half the hp gain per jet size as Schnitz dry chart and the fogger chart? a jet is a jet no matter what solenoid is feeding it... why would Dynotune advertise half the hp... isnt that dangerous? am i missing something?

Cold Fusion Nitrous jet calc is the same as the fogger and Schnitz dry chart. so i guess anyone running a Dynotune kit is really running double the hp they think they are. wow....
looks like the smallest jet i have is actually good for 30 hp dry

I run the Cold Fusion kit. and currently have only run the two .023 jets. On their site they say it is good for 40.8 rwhp.
I dynoed mine with 1100, 1000 and 900 psi and never got less than 49rwhp. I've talked to few nitrous gurus and they all say I shouldn't get more than 34hp.
So, I have two .029 jets and I want to run and Coldfusion site says 65hp. Going up this much sounds like it might be more. Kinda leary in trying them as I hate to blow up my stuff before the turbo goes on. In the past though, on several different nitrous kits with the single jets that were advertised as 40hp (.036jet), I've always seen 50hp+. Marketing lies? Hmmm....

well i have a .028 jet going in. hopefully its not too much! i gapped my rings for a 100 shot if my wet kit is really a 60 shot, and the dry kit is around 30hp, i should be ok...
