quick motor question

do i have to fully remove the motor to take out the stock head bolts to replace with APE studs, or will i have enough room by just tilting the motor down by leaving the lower rear bolt in the frame/motor?
thx guys!

You could probably just lower the motor by tilting it,however putting the cylinder back on would be more of a pain then sitting on a bench.Or were you planning on threading the studs without removing anything but the cams and cap?

the plan is to just take out 1 bolt and replace it with 1 stud at a time, leaving as much together as possible! I want the head torqued on that extra 7 ft#s for next wknd as im planning on spraying it

Hell,I wouldn't even take the exhaust off.Just unbolt from rear mount and unbolt radiator from the frame.I did find I needed to pull the chain off the rear sprocket. The hardest part for you would be your NOS system.

I mentioned that because the velocity stacks will have to come off and then reassembled on when the engine is lifted back up.If your nitrous is not bolted down with thestack bolts, your golden.

the foggeres are held down by 1 stack bolt. i may be able to get them out without removing lines.
Nox, so leave them hanging from the stacks?

yeap. and roll the motor back onto them.
You will have to tilt them at the right angle by hand when you go back up.
they will pop right back in place.
