HELP with LM-1 rpm settings

Just when you think you got a handle on things, BAM right between the eyes.
I can't remember the setting to program the RPM converter with LM programmer or the configurations setting for RPM in logworks.

gerard, this worked for me when i ran the LM-1

1. hold rpm steady at 4k rpm, press set up until led blinks fast,

2. hold at 4k until led blinks slowly;

3. after 5sec or so it will light steadily;

4. click rpm X 2 in rpm configure in lm-1 log

hey, why don't you come down to the Texas Mile???

Karl

Tried that, goes to slow blink, never when steady.
Maybe I have other problems.
Do you think low battery would cause program problems.

low battery always causes problems...

where are you getting the feed for the inp to rpm?

i had problematic results from a wire to the coil, things got better when i used an injector feed. If you do that don't be surprised by data drop outs on closed throttle decel, not a big deal

make double sure yr ground is good

make triple sure the rpm module is plugged securely into the LM-1 box. Everyone has problems there

I am using the coil feed. I'll have to find a injector feed.
CPU Ground, thanks to you.
Rpm mod secure, as TPS works great. and matches the PC software almost exact.
Thanks for the help,
I'll give it another shot tonight at the track.

I owe you big.
Switched to injector feed using the 4000 rpm hold, it worked.
Looking at the PC and LM-1 at the same time RPM are less than .
I may try again later

When I started logging, I was using coil signal. I had alot of troubles with noise in the signal. Entropy suggested that I use an injector feed. It worked great.
Then I turned up the dry shot and the injectors went close to 100%. I lost all RPM signal above 8000 RPM (where the window switch kicked on and the PC map was richened).

Now I use Cam Sensor signal for the RPM log.
