Toasted it last night

To make a short story, damn bike wouldnt shift, dont know why, the bike has shifted fine for 4 years, all we did was put a mac arm on it and an ignition module. But it felt funny driving in the pits, was having a hard time finding neutral and felt hard to shift it with the foot.
Any way hit the limmiter on spray twice, engine no likey, clackity clack it go.
sighhhh.
I really sucks to toast it this way, I really thought we would pop a head gasket or even melt a piston, but to hurt it because the damn thing would shift really sucks.
I guess I should have got around to installing that window switch.

Motor is coming out, anyone want to help. LOL

Ouch. Hope it didn't take out any valves along with the bad rod bearings you are sure to find.

Sorry to hear about the engine. If pistons are trashed, I have a set of stock 12r pistons for sale.

engine is out. Doesnt this pic look ironic, Like that nos bottle is laughing at my engine.

Top end doesnt look bad, does this look like where the valve tagged the piston ? I see this on three of them, all exhaust

and what is this squaring on the edge of the cylinder. It,s on all 4 holes.

heres the head.

It needs some of our valve springs for sure. Valves were hitting the pistons.

12 cranks are pretty tough because of the excessive nitriding. May only need to be polished. Let me know.

Jay, I just came from your web site. Of course you will be getting a call. I have an APE pin on my jacket since the 90's. APE sticker on my bike as well.
just trying to see how far I will go with this, and how much I want to spend.

Hey cheese this bike made 247 hp, on our stingie dyno, Bone stock. I wont be pulling the balancer for 2 hp.

You got lucky!
When I hit the limiter the rod came out the front.
Only good parts were head , and trans.
