2000 trans in a 2002 bike

Are there any differences?
A friend wants to get a trans done.
I offered to let him send my 2000 trans and he could swap for his 2002 with no down time.
Did Kawasaki change anything?

what i know -- yes the trans is the same !!
the only different is the shift axle -- which comes out of the case !!

shift axle which comes out of the case ------ year 00 + 01
-------the years 02 ------ are bigger
