The 14 is very impressive.....

I did a multi stage tune job for a fellow racer this weekend at the track......., big guy, like 230 or 250 suited....., I was amazed at what tune up ended up being the ticket.........

4500 rpms, and he pops the lever off the bars......., it gets about 6 inches of wheel lift about 150 ft out........, nice and smooth......

Now, after several passes......, we have found out........, the 2001 crank in the 2002 motor, with the 2002 flywheel, chenged the heck out of my "perfect" multistage tune......, this thing revs SO fast. Got to go down on my launch rpm. Where I used to leave at 7000, it now just hits the limiter, at about 40 to 50 ft......., and I have to toss it into second.......

Its only a small adjustment though.......

Mike, you need to get down here before it gets freakin hot.......

Hey NOX, that 14 tune-up is with who's lock-up?
And do you think that will work @ around 60" or does it need more length?

Most guys with 14s end up ripping it off and going back to stk clutch.
How much motor did this one have or was it stk?

Thanks for the reports!

Hemibusa runs those 8.80's on a 62" 14 so they do run very strong! Heck he went 8.50 with just a 30shot...

Well, what I was getting at, is, I was amazed at the low end tune up, that it took, and then, what I had to do to the last couple of stages, to keep the dang front end down.........

So much torque.......

There is a fairly light rider here with the same set up, but his clutch hand is lacking, I would love to see what his bike would do after I tuned a lock up in it.......

Mike, I am complaining about the 20 gallons I will be using to ride my ZRX to Maxton and back and it gets 40 to 45 MPG on the road! If the distance was less I would ride Peggy's 250 and get closer to 60 MPG but I do not want to wear it out or muslef at 60 MPH

20 Gallons is close to $80! WOW!

Mike,
Apparently you like that lil V70, but Chevron Safety Dept says that you should drive the Excursion everywhere, leave the V70 parked.

Its a safety issue. Bigger and heavier = safer.

I know you love yr little boyz and cute lil wife, and I am sure you want them to be safe.

(Chevron calc: 44 gal X $4/gal = $176, woo-HOO!!!)

"I get 10.5 towing a 20 ft vintage trailer, bike, tools, ..."

hey NOX,
I just checked with Chevron Safety Dept and they give you a for your choice of transportation.

They had a couple tips to add to your margin of safety:

1. be very assertive with the gas pedal. Keep it on the floor as much as possible. Get away from dangerous nimrods at traffic lights fast, be safe!

2. set the cruise control at 80mph or more. You will spend less time on the highway, less exposure to all those nuts out there.

Chevron says: Safety First!!

He says now he wants to really push it, and see how far it will go before it acts stupid.........

This should be fun. This track is pretty good, but not like an NHRA points event, or prostar race etc......

We are going Sat night to a TNT. I found my problems have been due to someone checking my static pressure wrong........(my father in law is in trouble.......)

So, now that I have what I need for static pressure in the bike, mine should liven a little, and get more consistent........, this quarter finals and out stuff is not cool.........
