Yeah, but if it is a muzzy piece, the end will break off, and get into your motor........

What happened to the one I sent you that was built out of tool steel?

The mtc rod and muzzy rod are different lengths........

Paul has my old modded muzzy set up..........

Trust me, weight is not the issue on his set up if he still has it like I told him to have it.........

wink

Yup still have it the same way...Not a problem on the street....Not a problem on the track....Just when on the street having to pull in the lever at ALL those damm stop lights in town....Seems like it ground down the tip of the puller,or a faulty rod through the clutch cover, maybe it had a burr on it....
Thanks,
Paul....

I trust your judgement dr nox, but i was just remembering a post by I think VH that stated he ran a lock up without any weights on the street, and added weights to stop clutch slip for a top end run(not tuned for the 1/4 mile)

so which is longer? the mtc or the muzzy? could someone shim or machine the spacer to get the other brand of rod to work?
if the mtc rods are better (and since they are cheaper), i would think it would be something to look into if i had a muzzy lock up

hmm, looks like the problem with the muzzy lock ups just got fixed............

assuming that everything else is the same.........

I know that if you have a muzzy, and switch to an mtc, it will change your static pressure a little.........., not alot, but a little, and a little goes a LOONNNGGG way on a lock up.......

hey Paul, want to measure how thick your spacer is? ill to the same to the mtc i have and we can compare. instead of buying the mtc spacer, you might just be able to use a couple extra gaskets, or maybe get it milled down the right amount if its cheaper...

I came up with 30mm's in width.....If the MTC'S puller is made better or the same as the Muzzy's, we'll be lookin sweet...huh...

because muzzy tried to copy the mtc set up, it did not originally come like that..........

The lock up hat and spacer are great, the rest of the system they messed up on......

but, if you ask Kurt, ......its your fault, every time........

Rob really needs a customer service talk with his people.........

Paul, Nox, I got 38.25mm on the MTC spacer. looks like too much to shim with extra gaskets..... getting the mtc spacer and pull rod looks like the way to go, just make sure you have the bearing in the cover

Wow,38.25mm....Little bit thicker..How much clearance is there when you slide your puller into the bearing in the cover...I have one in my cover but seems like there is too much clearance to do much of anything as far as support...One time my puller came disconnected inside the cover, and all the bearing did was keep the puller from falling into the cover/bottomend...Let me know if you can Scott,ok...

how does the muzzy bearing compare to this? (the metal dust is from me making the cover and the spacer fit together without any seems on the outside to make it smooth)
