injector ?'s
I was wondering how much hp can the stock injectors handle? I'm running a dry kit which i might choose to lean on heavy with the nos and don't want to max out the duty cycle.
Thanks, 02 zx12

So if you have 190 to 195hp and you throw a 40 shot on top of it, the injectors could not supply enough fuel? And you stand the chance of running lean and blowing the motor.

yep 220+ Dynojet hp,
with stock injectors dc=87-90;
with RC370's dc=70's& (don't remember exactly).
Muzzy pump.
capt:
as far as running lean at high dc???
I've seen logs from a busa running at dc=95% with AF 12.8 awhile running at Maxton.
If the injectors can consistently put out fuel at high dc you are good to go. Put 'er on the dyno and find out.
I generally use RC370's for slightly better perf at 10.5 -12k (thanks doug meyer) , but the OEMs do fine.

The fuel pump should have no bearing on the injector duty cycle. You can increase the fuel line pressure by replacing the FPR, which will allow you to reduce your pulse width and thus duty cycle. The only thing you need to watch is that the stock fuel pump on the early models is barely capable of supplying enough fuel volume at the stock pressure to support >180 bhp, particularly if the fuel pump has worn at all. Increasing line pressure with the stock pump is not recommended.

Where and how do I check the duty cycle of the injectors?

powercommander software shows it to you, but for the high dc's you really need to put it on the dyno underload

Muzzy Pump is needed to maintain proper fuel VOLUME through the rail. The stock pump starts to fall behind at high RPM when fuel is added/required via PC.
Here are my observed fuel flow rates:
Stock pump, 90 ml in 3 seconds
Muzzy Pump, 240 ml in 3 seconds

mrsantafe; at least get the Muzzy pump and an injector clean and service. This will minimize the good possibility of a lean out situation.

I talked to Muzzy and they said there fuel pump was for 00-01 only. Kurt said i've got plenty of fuel pump 02 and newer. However, i have never cleaned my injectors in 5 years of ownership so i will definately get that done psycho1122. Where did you get yours done and price?
Psycho1122, i definately need to make a trip down to Az pretty soon. As soon as my Dry Nos is figured out. I would like to have Mark make a custom map for the juice.
