Nox, i dont have enough 1.6s to make a full pack, bike came with the muzzy kit, i just have a few to adjust stack height. i have the anti chatter rings in, so it should be pretty much the same, stock fibers, just a few thick steels.
ill probly call you tomorrow or friday (check email) for a baseline setting till i get everything. im going to see about getting those soft springs and alum bolts ordered on friday(payday)

put it thru a few more agressive heat cycles and ran it thru the gears on the stand during the last one, hooked up my Schnitz box, works great and ill be making brackets for the bottle and running the lines tomorrow. should get it out for a test run and try out the airshifter.

how much longer do i run the regular oil till i put in the Royal Purple Racing 11 (5w20) ?? i plan on putting on a new oil filter before the test run tomorrow, and a new one when i switch to the purple stuff...

a bonus i noticed is the bike is smoother at idle. not sure why but im not arguing. the muzzy whum whum whum whum is not nearly as pronounced. im still running the same map in the PC as the 1270 map i got from muzzys didnt look very different.

i plan on hooking up the LM-1 really soon too. is there a min distance it has to be downstream of the collector?

btw races this wknd, think it will be broken in in time???

too busy trying to get dads bike ready, so i didnt get a chance to go for a drive. did 2 nice smokey burnouts in the shop though. calling for rain anyway so we are staying home. i was really looking forward to trying the Dr. Nox clutch tune too.
probly for the best, gives me time to put a few break in miles on the bike and test my data logger. plus order the fine tuning stuff from MTC for the lock up

put the bung in the pipe tonight. we brazed it in with silver solder. had a bit of trouble at first as it has to be really clean, but its in very solid just down stream of the spring on the mid pipe. should be fun tuning it. another big learning curve ahead

Send me a pm when you get those MTC parts. If you get them in before you go to the track, because I would rather have some of those parts in your clutch that what I have you set up with right now............

With LM-1, AF, TPS, RPM are easy.; logging rear wheel speed not so much.

For rear wheel speed you'll need a digital to analog convertor.

working on the +6 tail i got from DJ. the fiberglass was cut, and there were holes from his dial in plate and cowl, so im going to try and fix it up to look nice with and without the cowl. with just the rear seat, there are 2 places where you can see into the tail. the cowl covers it when its on. the tail also looks to be widened, but DJ told me he didnt have that done to it, so im not sure. i havent tried a test fit yet. you can see however that the cowl doesnt fit at the rear by the wear marks (blue arrows) and theres a line where it appears to have been split and a section was added to the middle (green arrows)

the plan is to fiber glass it as best i can, then body fill the imperfections. eventually get it painted to match my plastics, but it will probly just get rattle canned gloss black in the mean time

i was running 8psi. bike was completely stable running 147mph on the top end (no steering damper either) at that psi, i was told that the tire flattened out so most of the tread was touching the ground at the launch. (dad was on the pad watching)

I usually run around 18 psi on her Gixxer at 62", and my 14 at 63.5" was able to hook on that, with a fresh tire. Does your track have so-so prep?

What did you use as a lube when you mounted the tire? I have heard people say that you should only use a product intended for tire mounting. Don't use dishsoap-water mix because it stays too slippery.

But I still use Dawn-water mix.

He is popping the clutch, with my clutch set up that I am working him through. Very aggressive at the hit, but smooth. I use no lube at all on my tire mounts, and clean the rim.

Unless you are running heads up, a hair conservative is always better. Why push the ragged edge, when it might bite your ass in elims?

Also, rider weight, and bike set up, all differ with different tire pressure........, what works for you may not work for someone else.......

NOX is right...I bought his old lockup that was setup for him...Only had to make a verry subtle change for me...As we weigh about the same and bikes are set up close to same......You just have to be patient with it,it`ll come around ,and when it does, yeee haww...Have fun...

i didnt mount the tire, that was done about a yr ago by the local shop. i was worried about damaging the aluminum rim, and dont have the proper tools to balance it, so i let them do it.
