Can I put Wet nos on a stock motor 00zx12
I was thinking about installing a wet nitrous system on my stock 00 zx12.Nothing to big maybe a 40 or 50 shot.. What would you guys suggest is a safe route to go, as far as building a motor for the wet shot such as a stock bore forged , 1270 corillo rods etc.. I read somewhere the 00 zx12s has forged pistons, can the stock rods handle 300hp?

the stock rods are strong enough for that, muzzy has used stock rods in much more power than that in there shootout bikes b4. you can do around 60 hp dry shot with the stock fuel pump, if you get the upgraded pump you can do around 70 hp dry. of coarse you need a propper map. if you go wett well then higher hp is in reach with the stock motor, but the valvetrain is where its going to show you when to stop. if you dont get the head right then you will eventually have a blown motor. timming will have to be adjusted pending amount you spray also.

Thanks for the info, if the head has to come off to upgrade the valvetrain I am going to go bigger with 1270 or 1287 with a wet shot.
I'm 320 not suited trying to get in the mid 9's I

JohnnyCheese has a 1270 kit and Muzzy stealth system (wet) for a good price.

you can do as much as a 170hp wet shot on a 1270.
but you have to do it correctly

my bike has a stock engine !!! stock pistons !! stock rods !! only a little headwork
and a 60hp wet nos system on it !!! colder plugs,bmc race filters, efir, 2 dial nos controller, brocks sidewinder
works verry well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Johnnycheese with the 170 wet on the 1270 what is the correct way to do it?
Timing, plugs,valve springs, cams,etc?
